Assignment title 10.3 Producing an isometric projection using CAD
The purpose of this assignment is to:
Be able to create an isometric drawing
Scenario
You are an employee for Ocean Freedom, who make and supply yachting equipment working for
the CAD team. The development department have tasked the CAD team to produce some of the
engineering drawings for a product that is currently being developed as a prototype. The team
leader has assigned you to complete the pictorial view of the product in isometric format. The
drawing of a casting for a fairlead (a device that guides a rope to reduce friction or to keep it in
place) is shown below.
Task 1
Produce an isometric projection using CAD of the prototype product to current British Standards
guidance. Use the layout for a standard engineering drawing setup which you may have saved as a
template.
This provides evidence for P3 and part evidence for P8
