Nathan West created an audio track to experiment with sound effect manipulation using virtual studio technology (VST) plug-ins. He applied a high-pass filter and resolution parameter to create the effect of multiple synchronized versions of a clicking sound speeding up over time. A delay effect plug-in was also used to produce multiple versions of the same sound playing simultaneously.

This is the fifth audio track I am using for my sound effect
manipulation examples.
This is the first VST
parameter I used for
this track to
manipulate my audio,
named Hipass.
This is the fifth VST
effect plug in I am using
for my sound
manipulation, named
Delay.
From using this plug in I
was able to create the
effect that there were
multiple versions of the
same sound playing in
sync.
This created the effect
that the clicking was
speeding up over time.
This is the second VST parameter I used for this tack to
manipulate my audio, named resolution, when combined
with Hipass this created the effect that multiple versions
of the same sound where playing in sync, creating what
sounds like crackling or a burning wood effect.
