What Is Soft Drink?
• A soft drink is a drink that typically
contains carbonated water, a sweetener, and a
natural or artificial flavoring. The sweetener
may be sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit
juice, sugar substitutes , or some combination
of these.
• Soft drinks may also contain caffeine,
colorings, preservatives, and other ingredients
Why It is Called As Soft Drink?
• The word ‘soft drink’ owes its origin to simple
advertising.
• The makers of flavored carbonated beverages were
having a difficult time marketing their product
nationally and the fact that the name for these
beverages varied from region to region and even city
to city.
• For advertisements, the manufactures choose the
term “soft drink” to be more or less a universal term
for their non-alcoholic carbonated beverages.
World’s First Soft Drink
• 1783 – Johann Schweppe founded the
Schweppes Company in Geneva,
producing drinks based on carbonated
water.
• Then in 1831 the company started
producing lemonade in the UK which
quickly became popular and in the 1870s
Schweppes started producing it’s famous
Tonic Water.
Why People like Soft Drinks?
• Because of it’s taste
• Because of it’s availability
• Because of it’s convenience
• Because of it’s promotions
• Because of Habit
• Because it is cheap
• Because of it’s caffeine addiction
First Soft Drink Of India
• Parle Export Pvt. Ltd. is regarded as the first
Indian company introducing Limca (a lemon
drink ) as a complimentary to there well
established Gold Spot in 1970 which got
moderate success.
• However, before this, he had also
introduced Cola Pepino which was withdrawn
in face of tough competition from Coca Cola

Harmful Effects Of Drinking Soft
Drinks
• When we drink 330 ml of soda or a sugary
drinks a day it has been translated to more
than 1kg of weight gain every month.
• Drinking soda not only increase the body
weight, but it also causes sugar (diabetes)
• Regular consumption of soft drinks may also
increase the risk of osteoporosis(bone
disorder or Weakened Bones)
Water usage of soft Drink Industries
• The Coca-Cola company says that it has a
water use ratio of 2.7 to 1.
• To produces its 1 liter of product they where
using 2.7 liters of water (freshwater)
• The remaining 1.7 liters (or 63%) of the water,
It is used to clean bottles and machinery, and
is discarded as wastewater.

• The Coca-Cola's water usage ratio in India is
about 4 to 1
• The 75% of the freshwater(drinkable water)
has turned into wastewater.
• The company has illegally discharging its
wastewater into the surrounding fields, rivers,
ponds and in wasteland’s.
• So that the groundwater as well as soil has
became harmful and non usable to peoples.
How to Quit Drinking Soft Drinks
• Get rid of the soda/soft drinks at home.
• Have healthy natural drinks.
• Keep track of your soda consumption.
• Always have a water bottle with you all times.
• Ensure that you have enough sleep.
• Be confidence with you.
• Think alternatively.
Recruitment Process
• They recruiting peoples by giving
Advertisements, E- Recruitment,
employment agencies, college recruiting.
• The Qualification is according to the required
posts and departments
• The HR department only involve in major
hiring process
• The labor and middle level management is
hired by the plant authorities

My Thoughts
• I don’t want to say anyone to stop drinking
soft drinks even I used to drinks.
• Don’t consume more soft drink products
• Use to drink natural fresh juices and coconut
its good for health and helps financially to
the farmers
• Don’t allow any soft drink industry to use of
agricultural land and water from under
ground.
