Introduction:
 Digital learning materials or e-learning
materials are study materials published
in digital format. These include e-
textbooks, e-workbooks, educational
videos, e-tests, etc.
 E- material is a soft copy.
 It is first created, and then share the
information through electronic devices.
 Require some knowledge to use.
 It can quickly edited and updation is
available.
 Easily the news can be spread.
 Viewer friendly
 Searching is very easy.
 Eco friendly.

purposes :
 E- books
 E- journals
 E- library
 Websites
 Film
 Pictures and graphics
E-book
 It is an electronic version of a
traditional print book that can be
read by using a personal computer or
by using an e-book reader.
 E-book is a book in electronic
format.
It is downloaded to a computer or
any kind of reading device, and is read
on the screen. It can have numbered
pages, table of contents, pictures and
graphics, exactly like a printed book.

Advantages of e-book:
 Read anytime, anywhere.
 One device, many books.
 A dictionary at your fingertips.
 Search in seconds.
 E-books are portable.
E-Journal :
Journals that are
available in an
electronic format are
known as
e-journals.
Types of e-journals:
1.Offline the CD-ROM version.
2.Online or Internet-based journals.
Advantages of journals
1. It upto dates the information.
2. Saves shelve space.
Examples of journals
1. CORE
2. ScienceOpen
3. Open DORE
Advantages of E-material :
 Immediate access to information.
 It helps in time management.
 Improves overall student performance.
 The students have an opportunity to share their
different views.
Disadvantages of E-material:
 Distracting students.
 Required management and training.
 Addiction .
 Cost of money.
Conclusion:
The introduction of E-material technology
to be helping students in being more
effective and researching and presenting
work and also the E-materials helped in
reinforcing learners knowledge and
developing their understanding.
