   Its not about all the technology that is
    available, it’s about how you use and adapt
    this tools to better your classroom!
   There is more electronic devices and
    technology available to help students learn.
   The learners are learning better from these new
    technologies because that is what they are
    growing up with.
   It is our job as teachers to grow with them and
    the technology.
   More technology
     Smart boards
     Ipads
     Document Cameras
     Laptops
     Cell Phones with longer lasting batteries
     Internet
     Electronic books
    And so much more……
   Taking virtual field trips
       Can connect to the web
       Go visit museums, safaris, space stations
   In the classroom
       To help students understand
       More mobile
       Hands on
   Graphic Organizers
       Neater and visually enhanced
       Can be viewed by everyone from the screen
   Podcasts
       Teachers can send podcasts for students to listen to
        on the go
   Internet
       Search new and exciting things
       Replaces the dictionary
   Document Cameras
       Students can see books, papers, etc.
   Makes learning more fun
   Students are more engaged
   Allows many different multiple intelligences to
    be reached
   Has the teacher and students interactive
   Can use Skype to be interactive even when
    students are absent.
   Email
       Easier than writing and less chance of getting lost
   Can practice taking the test together
   Can help the visual and tactile learners
   Creates more opportunities to practice
   Using interactive
   Hyper linking
   Manipulative choices online
   Using clickers
       Students are more hands on.
   Flip Video Cameras: Students create videos or
    presentations in the classroom.

   Smart slate: Teacher and student can control
    the computer from all areas of the classroom.

   Smart boards: Giant screen that the students
    can touch and interact with.
       Cost: $1,200 for the board, $500 for the projector
Ipads: Students can have more mobile access and
  still have internet and options available.

   Clickers: Allows students to put their answers
    in electronically and as a class check how many
    understand.
       Cost: $ 100 and up
   Elmo Document Camera: Students can see
    what the teacher is displaying with more ease.
