2. WHAT IS SPRING LOADED CONNECTOR?
• Spring-Loaded pins, sometimes called Spring-Loaded Contacts, or Pogo Pins, provide
a highly-reliable, precision made interconnect solution ideal for a number of
demanding application requirements in the fast-moving world of electronic
interconnects.
• It is available to make connections between Battery to PCB, Antenna to PCB, and Board
to Board on a small space.
• A Spring-Loaded Connector (Pogo pin) consists of pin body, plunger, spring and
insulator.
• A combination of Spring Loaded Connector (Pogo pin) with insulator allows for
production of custom products that can fit various shapes and sizes.

3. ADVANTAGES
• Spring contact probes provide a constant force against the mating contact
surface, easily absorbing and compensating for movement seen during shock
and vibration without contact interruption.
• The contact or plunger in the spring contact probe is free to rotate and slide
within the housing or barrel of the probe.
• This inherent design characteristic makes spring probe connectors ideal for
bayonet and sliding mate connector designs.
• Spring contact probes provide repeatable contact in the field for modular
components, reduce costs, and eliminate cabled connections by providing a
dependable direct connection in rotating or sliding joints.
4. APPLICATION
These are typically used as button type contacts interacting two parallel
conductive surfaces inside an electronic devices or instrument.
• Data Collection Terminals : It can be used between key pad and Antenna.
• AV Equipment's : Battery Connectors, Signal and Power connections for lenses.
• Wireless Communication : In Charger units and cradle and Handset of Walkie
Talkies.
• Aero Space : In input output units.
• Health Care : As charges and as board to board connectors.
• Automotive : As charges , in rear display monitor, in car mirror adjustment, in
brake sensors module and its signals.
• Mobiles : In battery, speakers and as board to board connectors.
