1.
2. Have you ever wondered what’s
the real reason behind the
persistent “developing” state of
India?
3. It’s the disgraceful situation of gender inequality in the
education system of our country. Continuous neglect, social
norms, low economic situation are some of the reasons that
lakhs of girls from rural and semi-urban areas are dropped out
of their schools before the completion of their basic
education. Moreover, 32% of girls don’t even get enrolled in
schools. Though major NGO in Delhi and other cities are trying
their best to amend the situation, the local community with
their conservative outlook and narrow thinking are creating
hindrance in the education of their girls.
4. For most of the families, investing in a
girl’s education is a waste of money
instead they concentrate more on
their marriage. The reason being a
heavy dowry demanded at the time
of marriage.
5. Though there are many villages
where girls willingly drop out from
schools. This is because the schools
are not accessible from their houses
and hence they do not feel safer in
travelling long distances.
7. Several Child Education NGO in Delhi and
other major cities are working tirelessly to
make people aware of the importance of girl
education.
8. The ‘Beti Bachao, Bati Padhao Yojana’
launched in 2015 has been a holistic scheme
to reduce female foeticide and encourage girl
child education.
9. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana’ is another such
scheme launched in 2015 to encourage
parents in building future education and
marriage expenses for their child.
