Eastergate, Westergate & Farlington WTW UV Treatment Scheme, Portsmouth Water plc, UK:
Comprise of new UV treatment plants for Eastergate and Westergate facilities for the inactivation of
cryptosporidium and to deal with turbidity issues at the sources. Portsmouth Water (PW) has
included an improvement scheme at Farlington WTW (100 MLD) in their AMP 6 business plan. The
improvements at Farlington included replacement of the existing membrane filtration plant with
ultraviolet (UV) disinfection.
In charge of detail design and contract documents for interfacing new PLC with existing SCADA
system.
Wivelsfield WTW detail design, Morrison Utility Services, Southern Water, U.K : The proposed
refurbishment involves the replacement of the main site MCC / switchboard to cope with the

increased electrical load, new intermediate submersible pumping station, new standby generator,
modifications to the percolating filters distribution chamber, new humus tanks distribution chamber,
new airlift auto-desludging to the Primary Settlement Tanks (PSTs) and humus tanks, new 9m
diameter radial flow humus tank, new final effluent and flow measurement chamber, pumped
recirculation line and new collection manholes.
In charge of detail design and contract documents for interfacing new PLC with existing SCADA
system. Worked closely with the contractor to develop control philosophy, cable & Instrument
schedule, Field Instrument data sheet, Instrument Hook-Up drawings etc for above scheme.
Farmersville WWTP, City of Farmersville, California, USA: Technical review of the Facilities Plan,
Atkins considered a number of scenarios for consideration for the future wastewater treatment needs
of the City of Farmersville. These included the options of Oxidation Ditch, Aeration Lanes, Primary
Treatment/Anaerobic Digestion and a Retrofit to the Biolac to Aeration Ponds.
Involved with 60% design work and developed PLC System Architecture interfacing with SCADA,
Typical Loop Wiring Drawings and outline field instrument data sheets from concept design.
Development of North Al Wathba Infrastructure, Abu Dhabi: Preliminary & Detailed Design
Packages for PLC based Pump Stations of Potable Water Reservoirs (Capacity 66,500 MLD) to
cater to the entire development of Residential and Commercial Infrastructure comprising of
