He is the acting president of Sikkim Krantikari
Morcha (SKM), incumbent member of Sikkim
Legislative Assembly and the state Minister of Prem
Singh Tamang ministry.
He won in both constituencies and SKM
obtained the political power in Sikkim. He was
appointed to the Minister of Human Resource
Development, Law, Legislative & Parliamentary affairs
and Land, Revenue and Disaster management in P. S.

from figure of 5.41 Lakh in 2001 census.
● Total population of Sikkim as per 2011
census is 610,577 of which male and
female are 3,23,070 and 2,87,507
respectively.
● Recently as per Sikkim census data,
64.48% houses are owned while 30.55%
were rented.In all, 71.38% couples in
Sikkim lived in single family.

population decline.

A chunkypartridgelikepheasant of
montanescrub. Males are silvery gray with
extensive pale streaking all over the body
and crimson-tingedface, tail, breast,and
tail - the namesake “blood”of this species.
Female is warm brown with an orange face.
Both sexes have a small head with an
occasionallyraised weak crest. Usually seen
in small flocks in the winter and in pairs or
singlyin the summer.

role in Sikkim. Buddhism and Hinduism are the two major religions
of Sikkim. Perhaps, Buddhism comes into view as the predominant
religious practice in Sikkim. Though, Hinduism is the actual religion
that is followed by the majority of people. Buddhism is practiced
by most of the Tibetans and the Bhutias. Unlike them, the Nepalese
follow the preaching of Hinduism. Besides Buddhism and
Hinduism, other religions like Christianity, Islam, etc.
