Delhi, India’s capital territory, is a massive
metropolitan area in the country’s north. Delhi
ranks fifth among the Indian states and union
territories in human development index.
Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal.
Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes
India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to
glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers.

3. POPULATION
As per details from Census 2011, Sikkim has population of
6.11 Lakhs, an increase from figure of 5.41 Lakh in 2001
census. Total population of Sikkim as per 2011 census is
610,577 of which male and female are 323,070 and 287,507
respectively.
As per provisional reports of Census India, population of
Delhi in 2011 is 11,034,555; of which male and female are
5,882,117 and 5,152,438 respectively. Although Delhi city
has population of 11,034,555; its urban / metropolitan
population is 16,349,831 of which 8,750,834 are males and
7,598,997 are females.
4. AREA
Delhi has an area of 1,483 sq. kms. Its maximum length
is 51.90 kms and greatest width is 48.48 kms. Delhi,
the capital of India is bounded by the Indo-Gangetic
zalluvial plains in the North and East, by Thar desert
in the West and by Aravalli hill ranges in the South.
Sikkim is a strategically located hill State covering an
area of 7096 sq kms (which accounts for 0.2% of the
total area of India) Sikkim is one of the smallest States
in India both in terms of population and area.
