Swachh Bharat or Clean India Campaign was started by the government of India to make the country clean and green and the aspects related to this campaign was shown in these slides.
2. INTRODUCTION
Clean India campaign was announced by
Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi on
Independence Day and launched on 2nd Oct
2014.
This campaign aims to accomplish the vision
of “clean India” by 2nd October 2019, 150th
birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and is expected
to cost over INR62000 crore.
The campaign was described as “beyond
politics” and “inspired by patriotism”.
3. OBJECTIVES OF CLEAN INDIA
CAMPAIGN
Make people aware about the health issues
raised because of open defecation.
Solid and liquid waste management.
Organize different awareness programmes on
cleanliness and sanitation.
Construction of toilets in schools and public
places.
Programmes to eliminate open defecation.
4. Always keep your home and workplace clean.
To lay water pipelines in all villages, ensuring
water supply to all households by 2019.
To keep the villages clean.
To build up the urban local bodies strong in order
to design, execute and operate all systems related
to cleanliness.
Proper disposal of waste and recycling of
Muncipal solid waste.
5. CONCLUSION
“Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” is the campaign
started by the government of India for making
India a clean and green country. As a citizen of
India be a part of it in making of clean India.
Do not throw any garbage on the road sides
and keep your surroundings clean.
