your
environment
 1.Natural - the natural surroundings
 Air
 Water
 River
 Tree
 Animals
 Mountain
 Soil

 Land
 Air
 Water
 Mountain
Lithosphere
Atmosphere
Hydrosphere
Biosphere
 Solid crust or hard top layer of the
Earth.
 Made up of rock ,soil and minerals.
 Includes landforms like mountains,
plains, plateaus, valleys, etc,.
 Found in continents and ocean floor.
Comprises all sources of
water
Like rivers, lakes, ponds,
seas, oceans,etc,.
It is essential for all living
organisms.
 Thin layer of air that surrounds the Earth.
 Gravitational force of the Earth holds it.
 It protects us from harmful ultra violet rays
from the Sun.
 It consists of number of gases, dust,
water vapour.
 The changes in atmosphere causes changes
in weather and climate.
Narrow zone of the Earth
where land, water, air meet
and support life is called
biosphere.
Plants and animals together
make biosphere.
Listen and
answer
 An eco system includes all of the
living things (plants, animals and
organisms) in a given area
,interacting with each other and
also with their non-living
environments (weather, sun , soil,
climate)
 Forest
 Mountain
 Grassland
 Desert
 Lake
 River
 Ocean
 Sea
 Garden
 Human beings interact with the
environment and modify it according to
their needs.
 We learned to grow crops and create a
system wherein transaction take place. For
example trade, commerce,transport etc.
 Furthermore, we gather things as per
demands .example to construct a building
we gather rocks,soil,wood,etc,.
 What is an eco system?
 What do you mean by natural environment?
 Which are the major components of the
environment?
 Give 4 examples of the human made
environment.
 What is lithosphere?
 Which are the 2 major components of biotic
environment?
 What is biosphere?
 Which is not a natural ecosystem?
a. Desert b. aquarium c.sea
 Which is not a component of the human
environment?
a. Land b. religion c. community
 Which is human made environment?
a.Mountain b. river c. road
 Which is a threat to the environment?
a. Growing plant
b. Growing population
c. Growing crops
Man modifies his
