1. How would you apply your knowledge of the four pillars of education in your day-to-day living?
Cite concrete illustrations.
I apply the four pillars of education in my daily teaching practice. For example,
I let the fast learner answer the modules in additional activity. I explain to the slow
and average learners that if they can’t cope up the activity, they may answer only in
assessment. I know my learners through the previous grades they’ve got from the last
grade level they attain in school. I encourage the learners to take down the important
topic they’ve learned from the module and let them study because I have given them
a summative test. In MAPEH subjects, I let them encourage to answer the activities
which is the basis for the performance task and it has a bigger percentage in tallying
their grades.
I also remind the parents during PTA Meeting that we know the ability of their
child, I encourage them to let the child answer the activities so that their child will
learn. I always say to them that in case there are topics that hard to get, I am always
available to the best of I can to explain what those topic are. I always encourage them
to have a constant communication with me for the progress of their child. That’s why I
created a Group chat for them to be given updates on the happenings of the school
and many others.
2. Explain the implications of globalization in Phil. Education. What are its challenges?
The implications of globalization in Philippine education have an advantage
and disadvantage. The advantage is that the learner can cope up the ICT updates
and can share to anyone they believe can help to them especially to the topics or
activities which are hard for them to achieve. The learner can eventually compete to
the other foreign pupil if there are an online competition, they can participate any
educational activities that can maximize their talents and abilities. They can explore
the various imitable, adorable practices done from any foreign countries and apply
them to their certain locality. One of the most common disadvantage of globalization
is online and cyber bullying which needs the child to examine the way the interact
because it leads to suicidal and immoral acts.
The challenges that the Philippine Education on globalization is the availability
of Gadgets to the pupils. How strong is the internet connection in their home or in
certain locality and the openness of ideas to any individual or foreign pupils to adopt
the good practices they’ve shown and to the evaluate the news being posted in any
social media account. The ability to determine which is real and fake news or
information. The learner needs an information or orientation on how to deal people
online and how to interact to them especially that each of us have different cultures
and tradition.
