What is the film about?
Four strangers get locked in a room together, given only one piece of
information, One of them is the murderer who brought them here, and
they have the key to the only door out.
The Effect?
- Creates tension
- Builds anticipation
- Keeps audience engaged through mystery and entertained.
Characterization
Our horror film will include a group of teenagers with
average stereotypes, meaning we can break those
expectations in the movie:
● Seth (Allistair) - the logical/ compassionate male
● Victor (Omer) - the instigator and aggressive male
● Lilith (Talia) - the timid/shy but smart girl
● Maura (Filipa) - the active, sassy and reassuring girl
Target Audience
Who’s our film aimed at?
Our target audience is aimed mainly at teenagers between the ages of
16-19.
Why?
Our questionnaire determined a majority of horror fans are older
teenagers. The second largest group was from 20 to 25, and so they are
our secondary target audience.
What do we aim to achieve through this?
- To use our ideas to create a unique product.
- To provide an important message and life lesson for our audience
through entertaining means.
- To use it as a device that will provide a long lasting influence/effect on
both our audience and the Horror industry.

- Forests - Weapons
- Graveyard - Accessories
- Haunted House
Our main location:
A Hall
We won’t require many props, focusing mainly on the characters
themselves - their interactions with each other, emotions, etc.
Our questionnaire led us to decide
Genre/Sub-genre
● Psychological horror.
● No gore, no jumpscares, just discomfort through
mental disturbance unaided by physically disturbing
sights/images.
● Using music and silence at appropriate times to
instigate fear and build tension, heightening
suspense.
Financial Requirements
We would like to ask for £8000.
This amount will help aid us in the journey to making this product, allowing
us to purchase all necessary equipment and accounts in variance of 10%
We are fully prepared to invest in our product, even over £900 investment
fees and will continue to give personal investment into it.
