Syria population 2000 to 2018
1. The main factors that affect the population rates of Syria from 2000-
2016
In general there are several factors that determine the changes in the rates of population which
affect by increasing or decreasing, for example the immigration, rate of reproduction and the
most important factor are the wars, which lead to enormous deaths and immigration to
surrounding countries and other.
In Syria the population of Syria had been increasing since 2000 constantly about a half million
each year reaching from 16 million people to 21 million ,until 2010 which the civil war between
the different ethnics, political parties, civil people, religion and sects started all together started
that resulted in many problems.
The problems included the lack of food which leaded to the high price of food commodities
about 200% to 500%, safety of the people were at risk and the outcrop of robbing, no electricity
and terrorism acts and public executions that forced people to immigrate to surrounding
countries like Iraq, turkey, Jordan even to o Europe, Australia, USA and a lot of innocent people
were unmercifully killed and disappeared by different militant inside of Syria that are supported
by unknown sources. those problems resulted in a high level of decreasing in the number of
population of Syria in a short time to 18,4 million people by the year 2016 and even lower to
18,2 by the year 2018.
