CAAPA is presenting an event called "Cotton Field to Concert Hall" on February 16, 2019 at 6pm at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage in Washington D.C. The free event will feature performances by Angeli Ferrette, Shannon Steed, Betty Entzimnger, Malcolm X Drummers and Dancers and others. CAAPA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting black classical musicians and others in the performing arts and bringing diversity to the classics through outreach, education, audience development, performances and arts partnerships.
