In this presentation, Kamini introduces the topic of IoT and presents an innovative model built on Intel galileo that does soil monitoring. Through this project, she intends to help the farming community in the country.

2. Introduction
 The Internet Of Things(IOT)is the things
embedded with electronics, software, sensors
and connectivity to enable it to achieve
greater value and service by exchanging data
with the manufacturer, operator and/or other
connected devices.
 Best example is that we already worked on

on arduino software.

4. Description on Design and Development of
soil monitoring system using intel galileo.
 The Problem:
The tertiary ‘kisan’ centres present in remote villages and
small cities may not have all the basic amenities like
equipments and highly qualified advisor to detect and
monitoring the soil characteristics.
And manually analyzing and identifying soil parameters
leads to delay in monitoring and threat to soil fertility.
 THE IDEA:
The idea is to design a portable, non intrusive device
which would be attached to the soil for sensing its
parameters and help could be provided to the advisor for
detect of soil characteristics at the remote kisan centres.

6. Description on Design and Development of energy
conservation system using intel galileo.
We recently working on this project. We
just interface PIR motion sensor with Intel
Galileo and determines the
characteristics of motion sensor. We do
further work on this project as soon as
possible.

7. Interest Areas
 Interested area related to this topic is to
make working project on embedded
system in which we interface with sensor
and make a working project on intel
galileo.
 In internship if we work on this area I will
give my full effort to complete the
projects and make helpful this project to
the outside people.

Trends to make big impact in the next fiveyears:
 Cloud computing and internet of things make
a big impact in the next five years because now
a days there is increase in data,there is need of
storing of data.
