2. INTRODUCTION
 Automation is the technique,method or system of operating or controlling a
process by highly automatic means such as electronic devices and
programming
logic reducing human intervention to a minimum.
 Automation is derived by the word "automatic" which means self regulating.
 Automation has been achieved by various means including mechanical,
hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and computers, usually in
combination.
 Think about the cell phone and computer we use every day to do our job.
 Think about the car we drive to take to work,television we watch,washing
machines we use and so on.These all could not have been possible without
automation.
 Without automation professionals, our world and our future would be very
different.

3.  Automation crosses all functions within industry from
installation, integration, and maintenance to design,
procurement, and management.
 Automation even reaches into the marketing and sales
functions of these industries.

 My interest is to learn about Internet of things
which is the major milestone in evolution of
automation.
 The scope of the Internet of Things (IoT) is very
broad and includes a wide range of applications,
such as personal health, energy metering,
entertainment, security, and transportation
 I would like to work on development of softwares
and their applications in automation industry.
