1. Date: Saturday 12th

Location: Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel and Underpass in Kingshurst.
Summary of shoot: Today consisted of two shoots at two different locations. The first
shoot took place at the Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel with Riley Davies only and lasted
around an hour. This shoot went extremely well, and the actor was very professional and
the shoot was taken seriously, this meant it was quicker to film. The second and final
shoot of the day took place at an Underpass in Kingshurst. All characters attended this
shoot, yet this one took slightly longer due to things being changed and production
company members not agreeing with cast members’ behaviour which delayed filming.
The purpose of our shoots today was to:
1. Film the sequence of Riley Davies preparing to meet the twins whom he believes
is a client interested in doing business with him. These shots consisted of him
placing his suit jacket on, closing his briefcase, making sure he looked clean cut
in a mirror and walking down the stairs.
2. Film the exchange between Taylor and Charlie Johnson and Riley Davies. These
shots consisted of the twins confronting Riley Davies, and him being violently
pushed up against the wall in the underpass by the twins who are clearly out for
revenge.
I think the shoot at the hotel went incredibly well, and some of the shots that were
captured at the underpass were very good. The actors took the roles of their
characters very seriously, and were eager to start filming which meant the filming ran
smoothly in most cases. However, I think my production company could have worked
together more in making sure each shot was right, and a few arguments occurred
between cast members and production company members which made the mood on set
gloomy towards the end. Also, we had to stop filming on more than one occasion when
using the underpass due to members of the public needing access to it which created a
few delays and put the characters off.
A lot of things were changed on set such as the dialogue and the shots. This was due to
it not looking right at the time, those changes benefited Reel Productions massively as
our opening sequence will look more effective due to these changes. Although, it did
delay filming again whilst making the changes as some cast members did not agree with
production company members suggestions which led into discussion.
