Geomagnetics
Experiments.
b) Processing and interpretation of Geoelectrics and Geomagnetics data.
Personal skills and competences
• System operator: Linux, Windows.

Scripting.
• Softwares: GMT, GEOSOFT, RES2DINV, SURFER
• Social skills and competences: I am able to work with many
people in a group to achieve a common goal.
Seminars
• Anisotropy in the Earth and S wave splitting, February 2008, IASBS, Zanjan,
Iran.
• Shallow seismic reflection, December 2008, IASBS, Zanjan, Iran.
• Receiver Function analysis to investigate the crust and mantle stratifications,
December 2008, IASBS, Zanjan, Iran.
• Crustal structure and upper mantle stratifications beneath the Zagros
continental collision zone obtained from P receiver functions,
March 2010, Zanjan, Iran.
Research Interests
As a seismologist, I am interested in exploiting seismological data to probe the
Earth's interior. To this aim, I am interested in using several techniques
including:
1) Receiver Function analysis to investigate crust and mantle structure.
2) Techniques for analysis of earthquake source mechanisms
3) Seismic Tomography of body and surface waves to image the Earth internal
seismic structure.
4) Using regional phases like Lg, Sn and Pn to delineate the crustal and upper
mantle attenuation and velocity structure.
