3. CONCEPT OF MIGRATION
• movement of people from one place to another
• migrate as individuals, in family units or in large groups
• In 1970, the migration rate was 2.3% and last year it was 3.5%
• Mostly destination of immigrants are develop countries
• And they are from developing and undeveloped countries
• It has both negative and positive impact
4. FACTORS OF MIGRATION
• Two main factors of Migration, push and pull.
• Push factor, individual to move voluntarily or for being forced
• those are conflict, drought, famine, or harmful religious activities
• Pull factor, attracts individual or group to leave their home
• Those are More jobs or Better jobs, Higher wages, promise of a ‘better
life’

• External migration: moving to a different state, country, or continent
• Emigration: leaving one country from move to another
• Immigration: Arriving to a country from another
• Return migration: moving back to where one came from
• Seasonal migration: moving with each season or in response to labor
or climate conditions
