1. Parking Policy
Policybrief &purpose
Our parkingcompanypolicyisdesignedtooutline ourparkingprovisionsforemployeesandvisitors.We
wouldlike toexplainthe criteriaforallocatingparkingspace andestablishrulesforusingit.
Scope
Thispolicyappliestoall employeeswhooperate companyvehicles,and/oroperatevehiclesinthe
course of business,includingpermanent,temporary,contract,internsandvolunteers.
Policyelements
The company will refertoitsguidelinesregardingitsparkingspace basedonthe following:
The criteriaandprocedure forallocatingparkingspaces
The managementof parkingspaces
The preservationof asafe andcleanparkinglot
CriteriaandProcedure forallocation.All full-time employeesoremployeesworkingnightshifts
(whetheronafull or partial schedule)cansubmita requestfora parkingspot.Thisrequestmaybe filed
to the HR department,whowillinturndecide whethertheyshouldgrantthe spotor not byevaluating
certaincriteria.These criteriaare the followingwithdecreasingpriority:
Permanentlyortemporarilydisabled(includingpregnantwomen)
Executives
Employeeswhodrive companycars
Nightshiftworkers
Employeeswhocarpool
The parkingspaceswill be assignedaccordingtothese prioritycriteriauntiltheyare exhausted.
The company maygrant a permitcorrespondingtoa specificspotthatmayrequire paymentata small
rate peryear.
Space for parkingvehiclesthatare usedforthe company’soperations(e.g.trucks) will be reservedand
may be separate fromthe employee parkinglot.
Managementof Parkingspaces.Parkingspacesare not permanentbenefits.Theycanbe withdrawnat
any time asa resultof disciplinaryactionorneedsof people withhigherpriority.
Each employee cannothave more than one parkingspacesandtheycan not transfertheirspace to
anotherperson(employeeornon-employee).
The benefitof parkingspace will be automaticallyterminateduponseparationof employment.
2. Preservationof parkinglot.The companyexpectsdriverstomaintainacleanandsafe parkingspace as
theymaintaintheirworkingspaces.The followingrulesapplyatall times:
No litteringisallowed
Driversmustrespectthe drivingguidelineswhenenteringorexitingthe parkinglot. Speeding,
turningcarelesslyordrivingirresponsiblyisprohibited
Driversmustrespectthe propertyof others
Employeescannotconductmaintenance orrepairjobsto theircars while theyare parkedinthe
companylot,exceptif theycannot start them
DisciplinaryConsequences
Anyemployee whoisfoundparkinginunauthorizedorprohibitedareasorinother waysdisregardthis
policywill receive awarninganda writtenreprimand.Repeatoffence will resultinretractionof parking
benefit.If the employee continuestodisrespectthe dictatesof thispolicyorincasesof seriousoffences,
theywill face disciplinaryconsequencesuptoand includingtermination.
