OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) standards. Documents include:
-Contract Agreements -Transmittals -Data Books
-Engineering Standards -Engineering Drawings & Data -Equipment File Folders
-Purchase Orders & Inquiries -Electronic Documentation -Mechanical Completion Packages
-Vendor Documents -Quality Control Documents -HAZOP & PHA Reports
-Construction Packages -Redline Comments -Final Turnover Documentation
Supported corporate engineering by providing insight and guidance during the evaluation of available electronic tools, and
assisted in the development and selection of tools where existing ones did not exist or were obsolete. Advanced proficiency
with MS Office software, including VBA programming and formulas, particularly with Excel.
Designed and developed project and corporate web sites with an emphasis on “real-time” communication and document/
electronic data distribution between the clients, contractors and the project teams located at multiple facilities.
Team leader of a corporate engineering standards upgrade project charged with reviewing, consolidating and updating
different variations of engineering specifications and standards that resulted from the merger of multiple companies, and
publishing them electronically for use at all facilities. The on-line engineering standards and piping specifications featured
hyperlinked references, pop-up menus and datasheet templates that downloaded to your PC.
Project Supervision:
Direct supervision of project team that developed CAD standards, verification procedures and quality control guidelines to
ensure high accuracy and minimal rework, which the team then used to update and generate three thousand “As Built” CAD
Intelligent P&ID’s.
Spent 1985 in the Middle East organizing and supervising the pipe drafting department and fabrication shop on a new $2
billion petrochemical facility.
Project Design:
Twenty years experience as a piping designer, including ten years as a Senior Piping Designer/Checker and five years
implementing, coordinating and supervising Computer Aided Design in a large petrochemical facility. Served as design
coordinator on capital projects coordinating multi-discipline efforts to ensure issuance of complete construction packages and
project deliverables.
CAD Development and Implementation:
Initiated, developed and implemented Computer Aided Design standards and work processes for engineering documentation
of all disciplines at large and small petrochemical facilities that maximize value at minimum risk. Consulted in the development
and implementation of an electronic document management system for intelligent CAD drawings and engineering data.
Employee Development and Support:
Supervised and hands on training of onsite and external document management and drafting/design personnel on the use of
engineering, design and document management tools.
Teamwork:
Participated on “best practices” team for defining and selecting computer aided design software, document management
software and developing global work processes and training for using these tools.
