Atlanta Raw Water Delivery System

Responsible for drafting & upkeep of 100+ drawings for the Atlanta Raw Water Delivery System project. Developed
drawings for initial ground support through construction phase. The project consists of 5 miles of 10 foot diameter tunnels,
two major construction shafts, a raw water intake and three pump stations. The tunnel varies in depth from 250 feet to
over 500 feet.
Pulp & Paper / Wood Products
Paper Treating – Lines 1 & 2, Barnwell, South Carolina 2015
Designer for the detailed design and drafting of the paper treating facility addition. The project consisted of two paper
treating lines, resin storage tanks, truck unloading, raw paper handling, finished product handling and storage, above and
underground utilities, stormwater management, roads, compressed air system, chiller water system, air quality controls,
wastewater treatment, quality control lab, offices, and employee locker rooms. The project was valued at approximately
$30 million.

includes steam and condensate piping, blowdown tank, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and filtration equipment.

Designer for the expansion of an existing facility. The project included the addition of 28 rail car unloading stations, flux
and asphalt storage, mixing and batch tanks, distribution piping, and three blowstills.

and flooring lines, along with a new warehouse, briquetting system, finished product conveying, cold room storage,
thermal oil system, compressed air system, dust collection, above and underground utilities, stormwater management,
roads, quality control lab, administrative offices, shipping office and employee locker rooms. The project was valued at
approximately $42 million.

Designer for the detailed design and documentation for the design & installation/retrofit of wood pellet production lines
located at two different existing wood pellet manufacturing facilities. Mike was involved in updating P&IDs, general
arrangement layout, and equipment sizing/specification.

Designer - Developed equipment layouts & detailed drawings to process bakery waste to consumable ethanol.
Manufacturing - Chemicals & Polymers
Sour Water Stripper, Delaware City, Delaware (Designer II), 2008-2009
Designer for the detailed design and documentation of the sour water feed system. The project consisted of sour water,
steam, condensate and utility piping, addition of a new ammonia heater, renewed tracing on existing acid gas header,
internal linings on two acid gas knock out drums.
