3. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX (HDI)
The Human Development Index (HDI) is an indicator of human development
by country, developed by the United Nations Development Program
(UNDP).
4. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX (HDI)
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a synthetic indicator of the average
achievements obtained in the fundamental dimensions of human
development
Characteristics
• Health: Measure according to life expectancy at
birth.
• Education: measured by the adult literacy rate
and the combined gross enrollment ratio in
education.
• Wealth: measured by GDP per capita PPP in
international dollars.
5. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX (HDI)
Process by which a society improves
the living conditions of its citizens
through an increase in assets that can
cover their basic and complementary
needs, and the creation of an
environment in which the human
rights of all are respected they.
6. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX (HDI)
Classification
In the report published in 2014 the human
development index fluctuated between
Norway with an index of 0.944 in the first
position to 0.337 in Niger in the 187th
place.
UNDP divides countries into four broad
categories of human development
9. GINI INDEX
The Gini coefficient is a measure of the
inequality devised by the Italian
statistician Corrado Gini. It is usually
used to measure income inequality,
within a country, but can be used to
measure any form of unequal
distribution.
10. GINI INDEX
The Gini coefficient is a number
between 0 and 1, where 0
corresponds to perfect equality
(all have the same income) and
where the value 1 corresponds to
the perfect inequality (one
person has all the income and
the others none ).
11. GINI INDEX
The first five and the five current countries according to the Gini index 2017
12. INEQUALITY-ADJUSTED HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX (IHDI)
The IHDI captures the losses in human development given the inequality
in health, education and income. Losses in all three dimensions vary by
country.
13. INEQUALITY-ADJUSTED HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX (IHDI)
The following list classifies the countries according to their index of
human development adjusted by inequality (IDHD) and shows the IDHD
of each one.
14. MEXICO IN THE LIST OF COUNTRIES BY HDI
Mexico ranks 77th in the Human
Development Index, which does not
even reach the Top 30 of the list
made by the United Nations that
considers 188 countries.
15. MEXICO IN THE LIST OF COUNTRIES BY HDI
These were the positions of each country in the region:
16. CONCLUSIÓN
Mexico has the capacity to increase its development index
and place it in a better place in the table, unfortunately the
corruption and income inequality of the population does
not allow us to improve development, however in the
classification map we find ourselves in how a country with a
high level of development.
