The Industry 4.0 team supports the Chief-Digital-Officer of the
Volkswagen Group to develop strategic guidelines for a future- and
customer-orientated manufacturing environment. In addition to
providing strategic directions for the application of digital
technologies and digital innovations within vehicle manufacturing
and other business divisions, the team assures the continuous
transfer of Industry 4.0 solutions into the Volkswagen Group’s value
network.
Smart Data & Analytics stand at the core of Industry 4.0 and its
principles. Through a consequent exploitation of data and
information from our manufacturing environment, we are able to
improve operations, develop new business models, and improve our
customer’s experience. We are looking for highly motivated
individuals who have a great interest and suitable background to
shape the strategic development of Smart Data & Analytics in
manufacturing and across adjacent business divisions.
Your work focuses on strategic activities related to Smart Data &
Analytics in the manufacturing environment of the Volkswagen
Group and its brands. Key activities include but are not restricted to
the development of a Smart Data & Analytics strategy for
manufacturing, the identification and evaluation of Smart Data &
Analytics technologies and application scenarios, as well as the
establishment of synergies across business divisions and within the
Volkswagen Group. Additionally, you support the development of
pilot projects and experiments in close collaboration with our
business departments in order to demonstrate the potential that lies
within the technology for the manufacturing environment and our
company. Due to the character of the Industry 4.0, you will be
working in close collaboration with a number of internal and external
partners and have a great exposure to the company’s upper
Folgende Qualifikationen bringen Sie mit:
BSc/MSc/PhD or equivalent experience in business, IT, or engineering
is required
8+ years of experience with consulting, vendor or internal function
related to smart data and analytics or data-driven digital innovation
Excellent understanding and experience of creating innovation with
smart data and analytics
Deep knowledge and experiences about manufacturing and
operational processes
First touchpoints with cognitive technologies and Artificial
Intelligence preferred
Experience in digital innovation consulting preferred
Hands on expertise in data science and big data preferred
Ability to manage data science projects
Automotive experience preferred but not required
Used to work in currently open structures, a new environment and
ready to get things moving in the group
Think out-of-the-box while never losing sight of the company’s
mission and the fit with the brand
Ability to express strategies and ideas clearly using standardized and
innovative office tools
Excellent language skills in English
