Responsible for implementation, upgrades and continued maintenance of the Enterprise backup and SAN storage environments
ensuring efficiency of use, availability, resolution of any user performance issues and backing up/restore of all enterprise storage.
Enterprise Backup Environment
 Performed software and microcode level upgrades as needed on all storage hardware and platforms.
 Configured, scheduled and monitored over 3000 Netbackup clients. Responsible for troubleshooting complex backup
issues for 3 locations (2 main, 1 DR) and working with clients and vendors to resolve errors.
 Deployed monitoring agents and created reports detailing storage usage and capacities using Netbackup
OPScenter software Protected over 25 pedabytes ofenterprise storage via Netbackup Enterprise 5.x, 6.x and 7.x
 Implemented Netbackup Disaster Recovery plan and performed quarterly testing where the Masterserver and
selected clients and applications were restored to an operational state within the defined RTO.
 Worked on a project to convert Symantec CentricStor VTL to full disk backups with client/media server side de-
duplication using EMC Data Domain appliances and Netbackup puredisk 52xx appliances resulting in vastly
improved efficiencies and cost savings.

 Designed specific backup and archive policies using Netbackup agents for ORACLE and SAP, Microsoft Exchange,

Storage SAN Environment
 Over 6 years of experience as SAN and Storage Administrator of a complex multi petabyte storage environment
consisting of EMC Symmetrix VMAX/DMX4, and VNX.
 Configuration and Administration of VMAX systems which including but not limited to Thin-Provisioning and
Automated Storage Tiering. Storage allocations to new builds and existing UNIX and Windows servers/clusters as
well as VM Ware ESX environments using auto provisioning on SYMCLI/SMC. Tasks include creation of tdevs,
binding tdevs to thin pools, creation of initiator/storage/port groups and creating masking view and enabling bit
settings to initiators.
 Experience with storage management tools including EMC Control Center ECC, SymCLI, Navisphere
and Unisphere.
 Experience in SAN data migration solutions that include EMC Open Replicator, Replication manager, Recover
point and San Copy. Involved in SAN data migration from Symmetrix DMX to VMAX which included planning,
design and implementation using SRDF and open replicator.
