technicians

optimize placement of in-home router
• Technicians use the App to measure wifi signal strength at
installation to optimize placement of in-home router and
extenders
• Ex. use case. As a high-speed data customer I want high
performance wifi in all parts of the house I use wifi
devices.

• NOTE: This project would use exclusively publicly available technology and
should not rely on internal communication protocols or techniques with
proprietary equipment

• A large percentage (>50%) of customer issues with high speed data are
attributed to poor or inconsistent wifi coverage, not plant issues.
• An app that could help customers and technicians optimize wifi router placement
and—possibly—extender placement could reduce customer issues with high
speed data service.
