• Background: Camera system and software enables first
responders to seamlessly collaborate to create a 3D map of
any structure, indicating the real time location of each
responder to commanders.
• Project: Creation of a map that indicates the exterior and
interior structure of a building in real time; location of staff
inside of the building.
• Examples: Arriving on the scene of a bank robbery, police
surround the building and assess the situation. Cameras on
each officer collaborate to form and communicate a map of
the structure located on a digital map. SWAT arrives, selects
an entrance and goes room to room to rescue victims. The
indoor map is formed and communicated in real time using the
teams’ cameras. Commanders verify that all spaces are
searched and cleared as the map completes.
• Users: First responders; tactical squads; commercial customers
