2 Sapagka't sa pamamagitan nito ang mga matanda ay sinaksihan.
3 Sa pananampalataya ay natatalastas natin na ang sanglibutan ay
natatag sa pamamagitan ng salita ng Dios, ano pa't ang nakikita ay
hindi ginawa sa mga bagay na nakikita.
4 Sa pananampalataya si Abel ay naghandog sa Dios ng lalong
mabuting hain kay sa kay Cain, sa pamamagitan nito'y sinaksihan
sa kaniyang siya'y matuwid, na nagpapatotoo ang Dios tungkol sa
kaniyang mga kaloob: at sa pamamagitan nito patay na siya ay
nagsasalita pa.

5 Sa pananampalataya si Enoc ay inilipat upang huwag niyang makita
ang kamatayan; at hindi siya nasumpungan, sapagka't siya'y inilipat ng
Dios: sapagka't bago siya inilipat ay pinatotohanan sa kaniyang siya'y
naging kalugodlugod sa Dios:
6 At kung walang pananampalataya ay hindi maaaring maging
kalugodlugod sa kaniya; sapagka't ang lumalapit sa Dios ay dapat
sumampalatayang may Dios, at siya ang tagapagbigay ganti sa mga sa
kaniya'y nagsisihanap.
7 Sa pananampalataya si Noe, nang paunawaan ng Dios tungkol sa
mga bagay na hindi pa nakikita, dala ng banal na takot, ay naghanda ng
isang daong sa ikaliligtas ng kaniyang sangbahayan; na sa
pamamagitan nito ay hinatulan niya ang sanglibutan, at naging
tagapagmana ng katuwiran na ayon sa pananampalataya.

8 Sa pananampalataya si Abraham, nang tawagin, ay
tumalima upang pumaroon sa isang dakong kaniyang
tatanggaping mana; at siya'y yumaon na di nalalaman kung
saan siya paroroon.
9 Sa pananampalataya siya'y naging manglalakbay sa lupang
pangako, na gaya sa hindi niya sariling lupa, at tumahan sa
mga tolda na kasama si Isaac at si Jacob, na mga
tagapagmana ng isang pangako na kasama niya:
10 Sapagka't inaasahan niya ang bayang may mga
kinasasaligan, na ang nagtayo at gumawa ay ang Dios.

upang ipaglihi ang binhi, nang lipas na ang kaniyang gulang,
palibhasa'y inari niyang tapat ang nangako:
12 Kaya naman sumibol sa isa, sa kaniya na tila patay na, ang
kasing dami ng mga bituin sa langit sa karamihan, at di
mabilang na gaya ng mga buhanging nasa tabi ng dagat.
13 Ayon sa pananampalataya ay nangamatay ang lahat ng
mga ito, na hindi kinamtan ang mga pangako, nguni't kanilang
nangakita na natanaw mula sa malayo, at kanilang
ipinahayag na sila'y pawang taga ibang bayan at
manglalakbay sa ibabaw ng lupa.

13 Ayon sa pananampalataya ay nangamatay ang
lahat ng mga ito, na hindi kinamtan ang mga
pangako, nguni't kanilang nangakita na natanaw
mula sa malayo, at kanilang ipinahayag na sila'y
pawang taga ibang bayan at manglalakbay sa
ibabaw ng lupa.

We should meditate upon the mission of Him who came
to save his people from their sins. As we thus
contemplate [study] heavenly themes, our faith and
love will grow stronger, and our prayers will be more
acceptable to God, because they will be more and more
mixed with faith and love. They will be intelligent and
fervent. There will be more constant confidence in
Jesus, and a daily, living experience in his power to
save to the utmost all that come unto God by him.

The mission of Christ, from the heavenly courts to His
death upon the cross, embraces in it the true,
unchanging principle that should be developed in every
mission that shall be entered upon and established by all
who believe in Jesus Christ. {16MR189.1}
…in the sacrifice of Christ are found the spring and

65. MARCHING ORDERS
The duke of Wellington was once present where a party
of Christian men were discussing the possibility of
success in missionary effort among the heathen. They
appealed to the duke to say whether in his judgment
such efforts were likely to prove a success
commensurate to the cost. The old soldier replied:
“Gentlemen, what are your marching orders? Success
is not the question for you to discuss. If I read your
orders aright, they run thus, ‘Go ye into all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature.’ Gentlemen,
obey your marching orders.” (Gospel Workers, p.115)

66. YOU WILL NOT BE ALONE
…they would not be left to fight alone. He assured them
that He would be with them; and that if they would go
forth in faith, they should move under the shield of
Omnipotence. He bade them be brave and strong; for
one mightier than angels would be in their ranks_ the
General of the armies of heaven. He made full provision
for the prosecution of its success. So long as they
obeyed His word, and worked in connection with Him,
they could not fail. (AA p29)

68. The value of a vision is that it encourages
you to give up at any moment all that you
are in order to receive all that you can
become. In other words , once you’ve had
a glimpse of what God can make you, you’ll
never satisfied with what you are now. You
will be willing to let go of whatever might
keep you from actually realizing that vision.

69. Sent by a Vision
When Paul had a vision, it stopped him, but it also
sent him. Any God-given dream will never just
stopped you; it will always send you. The vision or
the dream God has for you will always allow you to
touch other lives. So, Paul was stopped, he saw
himself, he saw his potential, and then he was
sent. After the vision had stopped Paul, the Lord
said to him, in effect, “Ok, Paul, you’ve looked at
yourself long enough; stand on your feet.”
