This document summarizes a partnership program between Holmesglen and the Royal Children's Hospital in Australia that provides internship opportunities for students with disabilities. The Integrated Practical Placement Pilot Program places 10 certificate students in 3 rotations of 9 weeks each across various hospital departments. The goals are to help students transition to employment or further study. The hospital benefits from gaining a more diverse workforce and learning how to improve accessibility. Holmesglen is researching the program's impact on employability skills, workplace performance, and outcomes for both the students and host organizations. Early results are promising and the model could be shared to help other education providers and industries.
