   Holmesglen Institute of TAFE (Technical and Further Education) remains a leader in vocational and
   higher education and one of the largest providers of TAFE in Victoria, Australia. Operating from three
   campuses, numerous workplaces, international project postings and off-shore partner institutions.
   Holmesglen delivers over 13 million hours of training across 600 courses to 50,000 learners
   with around 4,000 international student enrolments. Holmesglen courses are highly regarded
   within industry, and include: degree and graduate certificate courses, apprenticeships and pre-
   apprenticeships and over 200 nationally accredited certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas
   and short courses.

   Over the last twenty years Holmesglen staff have been located across Asia, the Middle East and the
   Pacific region providing specialist consultancy and staffing specific educational projects.

   Our challenge
   “A need to provide more blended learning and training options, improve access and flexibility,
   improve our training outcomes and reduce our training delivery costs.”

   Solution
   “We implemented Didasko Online for both our domestic and growing international markets.”

   Outcomes
     •   Increased learner engagement through the synchronised use of the multimedia learning
         content, validated assessments, worksheets and online communication with facilitators.

     •   With the Didasko content aligned to the underpinning knowledge, a 66% reduction in ‘face
         to face’ training delivery time and less travel expenses for trainers and learners.

     •   Improved trainer/assessor utilisation – less ‘theory’ training delivery time and less manual
         assessment administration has enabled more focus on practical application and an
         increase in the number of students to facilitator ratios.

     •   Reduced associated business costs from less resource management and administration
         costs (labour cost savings of AUD $4,000+ per semester).

     •   Reduced direct printing costs for worksheets, a saving of AUD $22 per learner per year.
