Some istruction to use our grid for tennis, soccer, basketball, baseball, volley etc

1. BioMovie Video Analysis software
Measure distances and speed in tennis using the Target tool and the Perspective
Grid tool
The video should be clear and the camera on a tripod
We insert a perspective grid

2. We drag the four corners until they coincide with the field. We indicate the lengths of two sides of the grid

3. Now moving the mouse in the grid we get the perspective coordinates at any point on the grid

4. We use the Target tool that tracks the subject. The dots give indications on the position and on the speed
of movement (distance between the dots)
Obviously the data can also be shown in numerical form.
In the data pane we see:
• Average speed
• Instantaneous speed
• Acceleration
• Progressive distance traveled

5. • Position in perspective coordinates
The same data can be shown in the form of a moving graph superimposed to the video
