Enterprise Integration – Bulk User Provisioning
In order to automate the user provisioning process, you can deploy tooling (based on IBM Tivoli Directory
Integrator) to help you:
 Connect to a supported enterprise directory (Domino®Directory or other Domino Application,
Microsoft®Active Directory™, or Standard Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) v3).
 Transform user information into the required format.
 Transfer information to the IBM SmartCloud for user provisioning.
Additionally, the TDI tooling tracks changes to the enterprise directory, and sends only updates to he IBM
SmartCloud following the initial load.

Batch processing – Integration Server
 Customer generates a file with the user identity and associated actions
 Updates are processed and maintained by the Integration Server
 Integration server submits operations to SmartCloud for Social Business services
18 © 2013 IBM Corporation
Currently Supported Actions
 A user provisioning change file is a customer-created CSV (Comma Separated Value) text file that contains
user provisioning information from your on-premises management system.
 Add, Remove, Update – adds, updates, removes users
 Suspend – suspends user from login
 Resume – un-suspends user
 AssignSeat – assign a seat subscription (e.g. Engage) to user
 ChangeSeat – change seat subscription
 Engage 15-> Engage 200
 Connections -> Engage
 RevokeSeat – revokes seat subscription held by user
 ResendInvitation, SuppressInvitation

Requesting – Enterprise Integration Enablement
 SmartCloud customer administrator must contact SmartCloud Client Services
Group (CSG) to begin using the Enterprise Integration Site
 Expectation is that ISSC or some other service engagement required for most
customers
 Customer can go at it alone if sufficiently savvy
 Must provide the following info to be enabled:
 Company Name
 Customer ID
 EIS User account (email address)
 Customer Administrator (for UP)
Best Practice:
Use an alias email
address or
“functional acount”
These credentials
will be used for the
company, not the
person to log in.

Directory Integration
Using the integration server, you can upload and integrate some or all users and groups in
your enterprise directory to the IBM SmartCloud for Social Business corporate contacts
directory as often as needed.
 Directory integration enables you to synchronize your organization's enterprise
directory with the IBM SmartCloud for Social Business corporate contacts directory.
It does not create, modify, or delete SmartCloud user accounts.
 Supports SmartCloud iNotes, SmartCloud Engage, SmartCloud Connections.
A directory integration change file is a customer-created LDIF (LDAP
Data Interchange Format) text file.
– It contains add, update, and delete information for each
person or group in an organization’s enterprise directory or
directories for upload to the IBM SmartCloud for Social
Business corporate contacts directory.
– Directory integration change files must be properly named to
be recognized and processed. Use the following naming
convention when creating a directory integration change file:
– customerId_sourceId_di_seqnum.ldif

Journaling
● The name of the compressed file that you
download for a component is
<date>.<component>.txt.gz.
● The <date> is the date that the journal was
written, in YYYY-MM-DD format. The
<component> is the name that is used for
the journal file of a component.
● In most cases, <component> is identical to
the actual name of the component in
SmartCloud.
● For example:
● 2011-12-06.CONTACT.txt.gz
● 2011-12-06.ACTIVITIES.txt.gz
● 2011-12-06.FILES2.txt.gz
