I relocated with my family from Perth to the Southwest of WA in February of 2007, where I took up the position
of Estimator / Scheduler with a builder of custom designed single and multi level homes in Dunsborough. I
have 2 children, a daughter who is 13 and a son who is 11.

Employed Full time as the sole Construction Estimator / Contracts Administrator, covering the South West of
WA
Duties include:
 Producing tenders generally ranging between $1m - $25million
 Tender packages produced for the Private sector including but not limited to factories, offices, rifle
ranges, aged care and retirement facilities, and car dealership showrooms
 Tender packages for the Public sector including but not limited to schools both primary & secondary,
trade training centre’s, hospitals, art galleries, shire offices, sporting clubrooms, leisure centres,
emergency response headquarters
 Residential estimating
 Liaising with architects, engineers, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers in regards to all aspects
of tendering
 Contracts Administration when required
 A minor role in Business Development to bring more work into the office

Duties include:
 Producing as accurately as possible, estimates for tender packages on the costs of the construction of
mining camp infrastructure in areas such as the Pilbara and North West WA, off shore areas such as
Varanus Island, to as far south as Albany. Tenders generally ranging between $1 million and $30
million
 Compiling tender and estimate documentation for the construction phase of each project
 Items included in estimates include but were not limited to: civil works such as detailed earthworks,
footpaths, carparks and road creation, stormwater and drainage, transportation of buildings by truck,
road-train or barge, mobilization and de-mobilization costs of plant and equipment, machinery and
personnel, liaising with suppliers and contractors from all around Australia
 Carefully collating and deciphering the information provided within the tender package
 Constantly checking and updating supplier prices and rates making sure that the tender price includes
the latest rates and information at hand
 Working within timeframes or to deadlines, even if they are unrealistic, so that the tenders can be
reviewed before submission

Employed Full time as the Estimating & Scheduling Manager
Duties include:
 Providing general as well as accurate estimates for different methods of building, including steel,
masonry and timber framed construction in residential housing
 Providing accurate costs of all the site works and design changes required for all new building contracts
 Overseeing the scheduling of all new house contracts, including the checking and amending of all bills
of quantities for each house
 Same day pricing of all pre-start selections as chosen by new clients
 Writing up contract letters for all new contracts
 Checking of costs done by sales staff and instructing them on different construction methods
 Signing off and checking invoices from contractors and suppliers
 Negotiating rates with suppliers and contractors
 Putting together reports including job cost summaries noting cost blow-outs and erosion, efficiencies
and deficiencies
 Updating price files when new supplier contracts are signed

Employed full time as an Estimator / Scheduler, working on one off, custom designed homes. I report directly
to the General Manager in regards to all aspects of this role.
Duties include:
 Scheduling – Day to day scheduling of the homes being built regardless of the type of construction
 Estimating – Accurate estimates of new homes for proposed clients within required time frames
 Drafting – Drawing / design of engineering structural details. Drawing roof overlays required for the
process of stick roof construction
 Contracts Administration – Putting together the paperwork required for contract signing. This includes
quotation schedules, addenda specifics, client liaison
 Variation Processing – Pricing & implementing any changes that may be required by the clients after
construction has commenced
 Construction Progress reports – Planning and scheduling of the construction progress for each home
 Site Supervision – When the current Supervisor is on holidays, sick leave or otherwise engaged, I take
on this role as required
 Cost Control – Checking of invoices, monitoring of erosion through price increases from both suppliers
& contractors

Started scheduling one-off homes with Riverstone in mid 2002 to the start of 2007. Some minor Contracts
Administration & Estimating also formed part of my duties
