The document summarizes the results of a questionnaire about music magazine preferences. It analyzes responses about favorite magazines, concert attendance, budget for a magazine, and ideal release frequency. The key findings are that Rolling Stone is the most popular magazine, most respondents rarely attend concerts, audiences want the cheapest possible magazine under £4, and monthly is the preferred release schedule.
2. Which magazine would you be most
likely to buy?
Magazine
Kerrang!
Q
Mojo
Rolling Stone
3. Analysis
The results show that my target
audiences favourite magazine by a
small margin is rolling stone, so I
shall look at the rolling stone
magazine as a good template for
creative inspiration when I am
designing my magazine.
4. How often do you go to concerts and
festivals?
Regularity
All the time
Sometimes
When I can afford it
Never
5. Analysis
My results from my questionnaire show
that the vast majority of people rarely
attend concerts this may be out of financial
difficulties or lack of interest so I should
both make the magazine cheap and not
put a lot of content in about festivals and
concerts aside from the really big ones
such as Glastonbury.
6. How much would you be willing to
spend on a music magazine?
Willing to spend
0p-99p
99p-£1.99
£2-£3.99
£4+
7. Analysis
These results clearly prove the point of
the previous analysis in the fact that
my target audience want the magazine
to be as cheap as possible and none of
them would buy it if it is over £4
unless it had something like a free
album on such on it.
8. How often, ideally would you like a
magazine to be released?
How often ideally released
Weekly
Fortnightly
Monthly
9. Analysis
My results show that my target
audience ideally want my magazine to
be released monthly this may because
they want a really good content but
not constantly released magazine. I
should aim to try and release rarely
but with top level content inside.
