 On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) said, “Verily Allah ta’ala has said: ‘Whosoever shows enmity to a wali (friend) of Mine, then I have declared
war against him. And My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved to Me than the religious duties I have
obligated upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to me with nafil (supererogatory) deeds until I Love him. When I
Love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his foot
with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him; and were he to seek refuge with Me, I
would surely grant him refuge.’ ” [Al-Bukhari]

Narrated 'Abdullah:
It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said to us: 'O young
men, whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, for it is more effective
in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity, and whoever cannot then he should
fast, for it will be a restraint (wija') for him.'"

15. Story of Thalaba ibn Abdur Rahman RA
 Age 16, In Medina
 Glanced inside, wind blew the curtain, glanced too long. He then went away
 Sent Umar RA and Salman Al Farisi RA
 Look for him in the outskirts, nomads
 Are you looking for “fatal baqqat”?
 For 40 days nothing but crying and istighfar
 Comes down at sunset, drinks milk, goes up again
 “What do you want from me” – did Allah reveal Ayah about me?
 “Did Allah mention ayah about me? Mention me with the hypocrites”?
 What do you wish for? I wish for the mercy of Allah
 What are you afraid of? Punishment of Allah
 “Ask forgiveness for me” he jolted. I feel ants between flesh and bones. Kept saying shahada
 Prophet PBUH was walking on the tip of his toes. Umar RA said – people have given a lot of room
 Ya Umar, may Allah have mercy on you. I do not find a place to put my foot because of how the angels are crowding me
