6. Sentence
A sentence expresses a complete thought.
A sentence has a subject and a predicate.
- Subject of the sentence tells who or what is
being talked about.
Example:Sam and Hannah are good
volleyball players.
- Predicate tells something about the subject.
Example:Sam and Hannah are good
volleyball players.

7. Sentence or not?
1. The dog barks a lot.
2. In the school.
3. Ben isn’t telling the truth.
4. Julie talks very fast.
5. Carl is well behaved.

8. Identify whether the underlined word is a
subject or predicate. Write S for subject
and P for predicate.
