MARTIN PETRUS ALBERTUS VENTER
Mr. Venter commenced service with Strategic Security Solutions International (SSSI), Kabul,
Afghanistan, a division of Universal Guardian Services Group Pte Ltd., on the 15 May 2005.
His initial appointment was that of Financial Controller responsible for the implementation
and management of all company payrolls, budget preparation and controls; general ledgers,
banking; reporting and collections.
Restructuring in August 2006 resulted in Mr. Venter being appointed to the position of
Manager Support Services. This is a senior management position with responsibility for the
control, organisation, and administration of the Human Resources; Logistics, Finance, IT and
Communications Departments through the respective managers. During Mr Venter’s service
the company employed upwards of 1500 personnel.
During the course of his service Mr. Venter was found to be a Manager of high integrity and
reliability who was always available to ‘go the extra mile’. He showed a willingness to
accept new challenges and responsibilities and performed extremely well under pressure and
sometimes austere conditions, never failing to impress with his professional approach. Mr
Venter was most certainly one of the driving forces to the success of SSSI’s operations in
Afghanistan.
In the two years that Mr Venter has been with SSSI he has made a more than meaningful
contribution to the Company and he will be sorely missed in all respects. There would be no
hesitation in re-employing Mr. Venter be it in Afghanistan or other country where
opportunity may exist.
