PrismaGlobe reviews financial contract compliance on capital and operational activities. Our
specialized services are focused on your high risk and generally negligent areas in capital
expenditure practices. Our compensation is based on savings achieved.
In practice, reliance is placed on payment certificates to process payments. The payment
certificates should be in compliance with the contract. Financial managers do not always
have the time or expertise available to ensure payment certificates are in compliance with
the many components of a contract, namely complicated escalation clauses, variance
orders, penalty clauses, contract rates, retention money and applicable exchange rates.
This high risk area is addressed by PrismaGlobe, distinguishing us from the rest that focus on
authorization and procedural compliance. Our valuable and in depth knowledge in respect
of infrastructure payments had resulted in significant cost savings for our clients, easily
recoverable from contractor’s retention funds, bank guarantees and future payments.

ABOUT US
PrismaGlobe was formed in 2013 and registered in 2015 where after it acquired the similar
business division of Jelizca (Pty) Ltd of which this division has been providing services since
2010. PrismaGlobe now has more than 20 years’ international experience in capital
expenditure practices.
PrismaGlobe Head Office is Centurion based and we provide local and international services.
PrismaGlobe is management owned of which 25% is black owned.
PrismaGlobe has a strategic alliance with Revenue Red Africa whereby it has access to the
Red Box platform which includes workflow and mobile technology. The platform will be
integrated with our monitoring services. (Revenue Red client base include Absa, Telkom,
SARS, Nampost, Revenue Solutions Namibia, Netcare, Nashua Mobile and various
municipalities)

OUR PEOPLE
Martin Kuscus - Chairman
Martin was the MEC for Finance in the North West Provincial Government from 1994 until
2004. Prior to that, he spent 17 years in health care services. In June 2004 he became
President and CEO of the South African Bureau of Standards, a position he held until July
2009. He then started his own business, GR8NS Investments.
Has been the Chairperson of the first Board of Trustees for the Government Employee
Pension Fund overseeing a portfolio worth R850 billion (the seventh biggest pension fund in
the world) from June 2005 to July 2009.
From June 2006 – May 2009 served on the PRI Board, the UN Global Compact initiative on
Responsible Investment where he gained international best practice experience on
corporate governance, investment management and the dynamics of global capital markets.
Served as Chairperson of the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund from 2007 –
2009; a 627million USD fund that invests in economic infrastructure on the African
continent. In September 2006 he was elected for a two year term on to the Council for
International Standards Organization (ISO) based in Genève, the highest authority in
industrial standards development in the world. In September 2004 he was appointed by the
President for a five year term to the Finance and Fiscal Commission where he got vast
learning experiences on public policy analysis and intergovernmental fiscal relations.

Non – executive director of the Netcare group where he is Chairperson of the Quality
Leadership Committee and also serves on the Transformation and Risk committees
respectively
Chairperson of the Mineworker’s Provident Fund
Chairperson of the recently JSE listed Synergy Income Fund
Holds a BA Cur degree and a post-graduate Diploma in Company Direction. Also attended
various executive development programmes, including the prestigious executive
programme for Leaders in Development at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard
University.

Paul Nel is the founding director and principal consultant of PrismaGlobe. He has extensive
experience in financial contract management and internal controls and procedures. Paul has
a B Com (Accounting) degree and is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Municipal
Treasurers (now IMFO). Furthermore he was also a member of the Institute of Internal
Auditors.
During his career as internal auditor, manager and consultant with three global auditing
firms, and his own company, Jelizca (Pty) Ltd. Paul’s responsibilities included compliance of
capital expenditure and infrastructure contract payments across many organisations and
industries. He also trained and lectured on the methods and methodology in
auditing/approving tender contract payments.
Phillip Vermeulen B Compt Hon (CA) SA
Phillip qualified as a CA in 1990. After completing his articles at PWC he joined Tarsus
Technologies as Financial Director. He later joined the international Amdahl Corporation
where he got extensive experience in Business Development.
In 1998 he was appointed as Business Development Director for AST Group and was
instrumental in their listing. He later started the E-venture business and incubated seven
new businesses. In 2002 AST decided to sell of the ventures and Phillip bought Revenue Red
of which he is still one of the major shareholders.
Revenue Red is the strategic IT partner for PrismaGlobe.
Chris Vermeulen – B Com (Accounting)
Chris is a seasoned accountant with experience in financial contract management. After
completing his articles and obtaining his degree, he completed a 4 year contract at South
African Revenue Services and has his own accounting practice since 1988.
