With the addition of the DFC, Saudi Airlines has a Complete, China-Based Supply Chain
Solution from Design through Delivery.
DFC Operation
How will the DFC work?
The DFC will receive tableware, and, any & all products from their China manufacturers and
process products for final shipment to Saudi Airline’s specified destinations. DSI can process
shipments for Saudi Airlines regardless of their sourcing origins (whether/not DSI sourced the
products.)
50 personnel are available to support the Saudi Airlines DFC.
DSI can brand, label, and package all the products to Saudi Airline’s Requirements. The DFC has on-
site, a printing company that will label products and create branded shipping boxes printed specifically
for Saudi Airlines. The DFC can even place promotional messages within the shipped boxes.
10
12. Two of the more frustrating aspects of outsourced manufacturing, and China goods in general, involve
quality control and sales support.
DSI will, from the DFC, check all products before shipping to raise quality standards from “China-Good-
Enough” to Saudi Airline’s Quality Standards.
DSI will do a final check at the DFC before any products are shipped.
Basic Process Flow
• DSI will receive and log all the China produced products for Saudi Airlines at the DFC.
• The products will be maintained in a leased 20 ft. (1/2 container) or other requested shipping
repository.
• The container, products, or other repository will be inside a continuously guarded, walled, clean,
and climate controlled facility.
• 50 workers are available around-the-clock, 7-days a week to receive, inspect, and ship Saudi
Airlines goods on an as-needed basis.
• The DFC has robust Wi-Fi coverage permitting Saudi Airlines to visually inspect the goods via
Skype with short notice.
• The DFC is capable of printing custom labels for boxes (similar to Amazon,) and other custom
labelling or branding, and applying these items to the product according to Saudi Airlines
specifications.
• When the container reaches 75% capacity, or at Saudi Airlines specified loading point, DSI will
notify the participating company of the impending shipment and work will begin on shipping the
container.
• The DFC can ship a package with the sourced items to a Saudi Airline warehouse or directly to
a specified location.
• DSI can Coordinate Shipments via Saudi Airlines Regularly Scheduled Flights from Hong Kong
Airport to Riyadh for Cost Savings.
• As the leased / rented container is picked up for shipment, another, empty, ½ container is left in
place for the same process.
