Marisa Cirillo worked as an intern in the Human Resources office at Binghamton University. She helped open a new student payroll distribution center and onboard over 865 graduate assistants. Marisa was a fast learner who took on additional responsibilities like processing hire paperwork, IDs, and emails. She performed audits and learned new computer systems. Marisa provided excellent customer service and went out of her way to make the hiring process pleasant. Her supervisor considers her a true team player and wishes she could work there full-time. Marisa is enthusiastically recommended for any position.

To Whom It May Concern:
It is a pleasure to write this letter ofrecommendation for Marisa Cirillo.
Iactually metMarisain May 2016 when she wasinquiring aboutdoing an internship with Human
Resources. Upon interviewing her we actually decided to hire her to help us with the opening of
our new student payroll distribution center and the influx ofGraduate/Teaching Assistants in Fall
2016. Although this may sound like a"easy"job, itis notitrequires herhaving learned rules,
regulations, whatpaperwork/questions to askin orderto makesure the appropriate paperwork was
completed. We placed over865Graduate/Teaching assistantson the payroll between August23and
October 10. On top ofall ofthis, shelearned how to processand assistfaculty, staffand students
witli their hire paperwork,ID's,e-mails.
Marisa wasafastlearner and actually does nothesitate toseek out morejobs, unafraid ofsystems
or learning new things. She has helped with computer inputintotheSUNY system which generates
pay. She has performed alotofauditsfor us. She uses Google docs, spreadsheets and other
systemsthatHR uses. She is always professional, polite and very, very patient. A lotofpeople
think that community service is only for"offcampus"areas butHR considers the entire BU
environment a community in itselfand we strive to provide excellentcustomer service. We are
usuallythe first"face"for new hires and itis critical thatthe experience be good. Marisa quickly
picked up on this and has not hesitated to go outofher way to makethis experience a pleasantand
easy process.
Iconsider myselflucky to have been given the opportunity to have Marisa work with and for me.
She is a true Team Player and understands the needfor punctuality;keeping herschedule and
notifying us ifshe is unable to work or needs to change do to her course work. Itis an honor to
work with her and I wish she could be with usfull time.
I enthusiastically recommend herfor any position she is applying for. Ifyou would like to talk,
please feel free to e-mail or call me at the numbers below.
Sincerely,
