I am submitting my resume for the position for a full time office administrative assistant. I
would like to be considered for the position and I feel that by background qualifications and
work experience qualify me for this position. I am an energetic person who thrives in a busy
setting. I work well with my peers and am very confident working with the public and staff. I
am an organized person who can get the job done.
As you can see from my resume I have extensive experience working in an office setting, first as
a Paralegal closing real estate loans, many in excess of $1M; I then continued my career as
office manager at the White Pine County Public Work Department in Ely, Nevada. The Public
Works consisted of Road, Parks, Maintenance and Janitorial Department. This job entailed
working with and managing employees, the public, organizing, scheduling and taking care of
the many facets of the Department. My career continued in a somewhat different direction,
working for the Amherst School District. For the past 13 years I have worked within the school
district as a classroomassistant, paraprofessional, math intervention and office employee.
I also have been a seasonal employee for the past seven years for the Town of Amherst,
Recreation Department as the Director of Baboosic Lake. This multi-functioning facility has
continually thrived under my direction. I have learned and grown with each position. I feel that
my unique work experience would be an asset to the district.
