Procedures
ROUTINE (5 minutes)
We will greet the students and willaskthem “how are you today?” as they join the zoom
meeting. We will make some small talk in the meantime and remind them to mute their
mics while the teacher or a classmate is speaking.
WARM- UP (10 minutes)
As a warm-up game we will start with a scavenger hunt: I will ask students to try to find
in their house the clothes Froggy is wearing in the story. This game willhelp the students
to activate the vocabulary they have been working on and will add an ingredient of fun
while they move around. I will zoom the following list:
Scavenger Hunt
1) A pair of mittens
2) a coat
3) a shirt
4) socks
5) boots
6) a scarf
7) a hat
8) pants
9) long johns
(I will have to explain the difference between gloves and mittens and the meaning of
the word long johns) I will give the students 3 minutes to try to find these items. The
one who can collect more items will be the winner. If there is a drawing, children will
get extra points if the color of the item coincides with the ones of the items in the story.
Transition: “Ok! Well done! Congratulations to the winner. Now, we are going to continue with the
story you read. Do you like the story?”
DEVELOPMENT
Activity 1 (15 minutes)
I will share my screen and open the story “Froggy gets dressed”. I will read the story
again,but this time I would rather pause, askquestions and exploit the pictures to assess
comprehension and review vocabulary. For example:
Look at this picture. Froggy is looking out of the window. What ‘s the weather like? How
does Froggy feel? Where is froggy? What does he want to do?
Who are they? Where are they? What’s Froggy’s dad doing? What’s Froggy’s mom
doing? How does Froggy’s mom feel? What does Froggy’s mom want to do?
Look! Froggy ‘s getting dressed to go out and play in the snow. What clothes is he
wearing?
Look! Froggy’s mom is calling Froggy! Froggy does not have all his clothes. What clothes
isn’t he wearing?
Look Froggy’s mother is calling him again! What is Froggy wearing? What isn’t he
wearing? How does he feel? How does Froggy feel here?
How does Froggy feel at the end of the story? What is he wearing? What does he want
to do?
Transition: “Good job!” “Now, let’s learn a bit more about Froggy and other frogs!”
Activity 2 (10 minutes)
I will share my screen with this power point presentation while interacting with them. I
will use it to present the four seasons while teaching some facts about frogs.

I will have to repeat some structures and make kids repeat them too. I will also exploit
the images asking questions.
Transition: “Great! Did you know these facts about frogs? Let’s see what you remember”
Activity 3 (10 minutes)

I will divide the students in two groups and each group will provide an answer in turns.
They are used to working like this and they know they have to agree on the correct
option before they blur out the answer. (This is possible because they are only eleven)
CLOSURE
For closure, I will remind them I will be sending some copies for homework via
Whatsapp. This is a routine we have after every zoom class. Then, we’ll greet each other
goodbye and wish each other a nice weekend =)

We will make some small talk in the meantime and remind them to mute their mics while the teacher or a classmate is speaking. WARM- UP (10 minutes) As a warm-up game we will start with a scavenger hunt: I will ask students to try to find in their house the clothes Froggy is wearing in the story. This game willhelp the students to activate the vocabulary they have been working on and will add an ingredient of fun while they move around. I will zoom the following list:

Scavenger Hunt 1) A pair of mittens 2) a coat 3) a shirt 4) socks 5) boots 6) a scarf 7) a hat 8) pants 9) long johns (I will have to explain the difference between gloves and mittens and the meaning of the word long johns) I will give the students 3 minutes to try to find these items. The one who can collect more items will be the winner. If there is a drawing, children will get extra points if the color of the item coincides with the ones of the items in the story. Transition: “Ok! Well done! Congratulations to the winner. Now, we are going to continue with the story you read. Do you like the story?” DEVELOPMENT Activity 1 (15 minutes) I will share my screen and open the story “Froggy gets dressed”. I will read the story again,but this time I would rather pause, askquestions and exploit the pictures to assess comprehension and review vocabulary. For example:
  • 6. Look at this picture. Froggy is looking out of the window. What ‘s the weather like? How does Froggy feel? Where is froggy? What does he want to do? Who are they? Where are they? What’s Froggy’s dad doing? What’s Froggy’s mom doing? How does Froggy’s mom feel? What does Froggy’s mom want to do? Look! Froggy ‘s getting dressed to go out and play in the snow. What clothes is he wearing? Look! Froggy’s mom is calling Froggy! Froggy does not have all his clothes. What clothes isn’t he wearing?
  • 7. Look Froggy’s mother is calling him again! What is Froggy wearing? What isn’t he wearing? How does he feel? How does Froggy feel here? How does Froggy feel at the end of the story? What is he wearing? What does he want to do? Transition: “Good job!” “Now, let’s learn a bit more about Froggy and other frogs!” Activity 2 (10 minutes) I will share my screen with this power point presentation while interacting with them. They are used to working like this and they know they have to agree on the correct option before they blur out the answer.
