OBJECTIVE
The opportunity to apply the skills learned as an educator to other careers options. I want to discover where I can
be of service so that I am an asset for a new employer.
PROFILE
My previous career allowed me to set goals, plan, and implement daily instruction for my clients in preparation
for individual and team events. My highest priority was to improve and exceed all standards as presented in
District and State wide curriculum. I am able to ascertain and learn quickly, integral knowledge challenges that are
critical to the success of my team and the department. I have an ability to assess learning situations and evaluate
data so that the learner is better informed in a decision making process for a higher degree of success.
RELEVANT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
My 30 years as a music educator experience has afforded personal growth in the following areas:
⁃ Coached students in performance opportunities for a high success ratio.
⁃ Collaborated with personnel, parents, community, and other related entities for the purpose of improving
quality client outcomes.
⁃ Developed a plan of action for presentation and implementation of curriculum.
⁃ Instructed client for the purpose of improving success in academic, interpersonal, and daily living skills
through a defined course of study.
⁃ Prepared materials and reports (grades, attendance, anecdotal records, etc.) for the purpose of providing
documentation of student progress.
⁃ Reported data to administration, students, and parents.
⁃ Published a department code of conduct manual specific to my department.
⁃ Maintained and purchased curriculum related material, office supplies, and electronic equipment.
⁃ Facilitated repair services for an efficient program.
⁃ Managed the calendar on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
⁃ Sought and gained administrative approval for fund raising activities to further the experience of the
young musician.
⁃ Coordinated publicity in order to recognize the client’s success and awards.
⁃ Planned, coordinated, and managed all steps for transportation of over 200 clients to and from successful
events.
