MFA Required For ALL Internal Users
Starting February 1, 2022, Salesforce will require
MFA for direct and SSO logins into Salesforce,
using ither Salesforce’s MFA or your own single
sign-on provider’s MFA service. Learn
Why: The global threat landscape is constantly evolving, and the types of
attacks that can cripple a business and exploit consumers are on the rise. A
key part of your security strategy is safeguarding access to your Salesforce
user accounts. But used on their own, user credentials don’t provide sufficient
protection against threats like phishing attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, and
credential stuffing. That’s where MFA comes in. It’s one of the easiest, most
effective ways to prevent unauthorized account access and safeguard your
business and your customers’ data.

Reports & Dashboards: Inline Editing in
Salesforce Reports (Beta)
Salesforce is bringing the power of inline editing to
reports! Now, if a record is out of date, you can
update certain fields (text, numeric, and checkbox)
without leaving the report view. For example, if a
sales rep is viewing an Opportunity report, they
can update the Probability field from the report
and the report will automatically refresh.
17. Admin
Reports & Dashboards: Download a Dashboard
Image to a File
You can now download a dashboard as a PNG file
that can then be embedded in documents,
presentations or anywhere else!
18. Admin
Case management: Use a Macro to send
Multiple emails
Use the Bulk Macro from the Case List View or Record Home Page, select an email template (Classic or Lightning) to send
multiple emails.
Use a Default No-Reply Address for Case
Email Notifications
This will auto-activate in Spring ’22. If existing orgs do not set up the default No-Reply address as the system address for case
email notifications, HTML and custom email components will not appear.
20. Admin
See Record Access Reasons in Lightning
Experience
Use the Record Sharing
Hierarchy in Lightning
Experience to easily
understand why a user
has access to a certain
record.
21. Admin
Set Assignment Expirations and Permissions in
Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups
Control when a user's permissions expire based on
your business requirements.
For example, you may want to
allow only a consultant to access
an object during a project but you
want to remove it when the project
ends. Rather than having to
create a special consultant profile,
you can create a permission set
and assign it to a specific user.
This in Beta currently
22. Admin
Dynamic Actions Bar (Pilot)
You can now quickly and easily configure a
Dynamic Actions bar for your standard and
custom actions, including setting visibility for the
entire Dynamic Actions bar. Add, drag, and
configure the Dynamic Actions Bar component on
your app page with the Lightning App Builder.
23. Restriction Rules (Beta)
Want a truly "private" Activities or Contracts access model? Don't want your external (communities)
users seeing the same set of activities or contracts as internal users? Enter Restriction Rules!
Restriction rules are a record-level access control mechanism that allows you to grant granular
visibility to specified users.
Restriction rules let you enhance your security by allowing certain users to access only specified
records. They prevent users from accessing records that can contain sensitive data or information
that isn’t essential to their work. Restriction rules are available for custom objects, contracts, tasks,
and events and can be configured through the Tooling or Metadata API.
See the Restriction Rules Developer Guide for more details and use cases.
Supported Objects: Activities (Task & Event), Contracts, Custom Objects
24. Page Analysis
Get a more accurate readout
of your record page’s
performance from the
Performance Analysis tool,
which now includes custom
components in its
assessment.
Improve Page Performance with Custom Lightning Component Analysis
26. In-App Guidance
The Guidance Center provides adoption content for Admins of all skill levels and
all orgs and includes important resources so that Admins can learn how to
customize their org within the context of where they actually do it.
In-App Guidance is also moving from a one month free trial to 3 free
walkthroughs at any given time.
Guidance Center now available to all orgs!

View Multiple Records at Once
Just like table view, use split view to
select and take actions on multiple
records!
Select 200 Records At Once
Select and action on up to 200 records
Save time doing repeatable tasks.
Work down a list and easily close
multiple cases or add contacts to a
campaign.
29. A Brand New Consolidated View
of the Pipeline
Pipeline Inspection provides key highlights, out-of-the-box pipeline
segmentation, and critical rollups, all without leaving the Opportunities
page.
Spreadsheet like view to easily identify important, recent deal changes
30. Checklist of Setup To Do Items for Admins
In-app guidance appears to admins
in Setup and is shown every 3 days
for a maximum of 10 times.
Setup is as easy as turning on
Pipeline Inspection and verifying that
you have Historical Trending
enabled and configured for
opportunities.
Add the Pipeline Inspection button
and assign the Pipeline Inspection
permission set to the users who you
want to have access to Pipeline
Inspection.
Users can then access Pipeline
Inspection from the Opportunities
tab.
32. Add Accounts as Campaign Members
Solves many common use cases where contact aren’t relevant for the
campaign or the accounts you want to target don’t have contacts
identified yet
● Fundraising: many non-profits want to be able to add accounts to
campaigns
● Account Prospecting: Add accounts to a campaign with the goal of
identifying at least one contact for each account. Add contacts to the
campaign as they’re identified.
● Events: Target a set of accounts to invite to an event, but customer
does not know which contacts they want to invite yet.
Target Accounts directly with a campaign
33. Add Accounts as Campaign Members
Update your page layouts to include the Campaign History related list
on account records.
Search and Add - Exactly Like Adding Contact and Lead Members
35. Available with the all Clouds.
Salesforce Flow: Multicolumn Screens
You can divide each flow screen into multiple sections and columns
to create a visually appealing and effective layout. The multicolumn
screen layout is responsive, so columns stack vertically to fit on
mobile phones.
The Section component is now supported in flows that get launched
from Einstein Next Best Action and Actions & Recommendations
components. Labels for components in sections are now supported in
Translation Workbench.
Admin
How: In Flow Builder, use the Section component
to easily arrange screen components into multiple
columns.
37. Salesforce Flow: Set a Default Value
for Any Screen Component That
Display Choices
Now you can set a default value using any flow resource. Use a
record query, an action, or another component. Or manually
select a specific picklist value when you use a picklist choice set.
Previously, you could only select a choice resource for the default
value.
Admin
Why: Say you use a screen flow to make it easier to ask users to update opportunity details. The user sets the opportunity's stage, and you want the
Stage picklist to preselect the opportunity record's current stage. In the Stage picklist that appears on the screen, Closed Won is preselected.
38. And because it makes more sense to set
the default value after you've added the
possible options, we moved the Default
Value field from below the Data Type field
to below the choice options. To set a
default value, add at least one choice.
Admin
39. Salesforce Flow: Control over Picklist
Requiredness in Flow Screens
Admin
“—None—” will be added to each picklist option list. The picklist no longer defaults to the first item in the picklist by default. A required
checkbox will also be available in the picklist component.
40. Salesforce Flow: Use “ISCHANGED,
ISNEW, and PRIORVALUE in Record-
Triggered Flow Fomulas
Admin
Record-triggered flows now support the Salesforce formulas you know
and love: ISCHANGED(), PRIORVALUE() and ISNEW(). Easily migrate
your formulas from Process Builder and Workflow Rules into Flow, and
build out new complex logic around record changes as you develop
record-triggered automation.
How: When copying formulas containing ISCHANGED and PRIORVALUE into
record-triggered flows, use the $Record global variable instead of the object. For
example, to use ISCHANGED(account.x) in a record-triggered flow formula,
change it to ISCHANGED($Record.x). The ISNEW formula function requires no
changes because it has no parameters.
41. Salesforce Flow: Use “Is Changed” in
Condition Logic for Start & Decision
Elements
Admin
Use the new Is Changed operator in your condition logic for Start
elements and Decision elements in record-triggered flows. With
the Is Changed operator, you can define conditions that check
whether certain field values on the record changed in the current
transaction.
42. Drag CRM Object Fields onto Screen Canvas
Build screen flows faster by easily
adding Salesforce object fields onto
screens.
When you add an object field to a
flow screen, the field’s name, data
type, help text, requiredness, and
existing field values are automatically
configured for you.
Ensure consistency between Screen Flows and your CRM objects & field attributes
43. Salesforce Flow: Switch Between
Checkbox Group and Multi-Select
Picklist or Picklist w/o Starting Over
Admin
No need to start over again if you want
to switch the style of your list items
from checkbox group to multi-select
picklist when users can select multiple
items and between picklist and radio
buttons for a single select item.
44. Salesforce Flow: Find Failed Flows
Faster
Skip your inbox and go straight to the new Failed Flow Interviews list view. Now, if your flows have failed interviews, you can find them all in
one place. You can create a custom list view that includes paused and failed flow interviews. Previously, you clicked a link in a flow error email
to start debugging a failed flow interview.
Admin
How: In Setup, Paused Flow Interviews changed to Paused and Failed Flow Interviews. The Setup page now includes list views
for flow interviews that are paused or have failed. The list views include more list view controls such as Sharing Settings and
Select Fields to Display.
From Setup, enter flow in Quick Find box, and then select Paused and Failed Flow Interviews. The default list view is Paused
Flow Interviews. To open the flow interview in Flow Builder, click the interview label.
45. Salesforce Flow: Debug Flows with One
Button
Debug flows faster without choosing between debugging on the canvas or viewing only debug details. The flow now determines whether you
can debug on the canvas or see only the debug details. For example, you can debug autolaunched flows with or without triggers on the canvas
but debug screen flows only in the debug details.
Admin
How: To start debugging a flow, you now click Debug.
