1) Lightning App Builder Enhancements
❑ Experience Dynamic Forms on mobile devices (BETA)
▪ Supported on accounts, cases, contacts, leads, opportunities, and custom objects.
▪ Remove the Record Detail - Mobile component from the page.
❑ Align fields horizontally in field sections
▪ Available on Dynamic Forms Field Section components
❑ Use Accordion and Tabs components on your app pages
▪ Previously was only available on Record pages
2) Field Enhancements
❑ Limit inactive picklist values to 4,000
▪ Enforced in Summer ‘23
▪ Any unrestricted custom picklists that were previously created that have more than 4,000
inactive values remain unchanged.
❑ Manage Salutation picklist values in Object Manager
▪ Say Hello to Salutation Picklist Values in Lightning Experience
• Previously you had to switch to Classic to make these updates.
▪ Reflect the Diversity of Your Customers with Gender-Neutral Salutations
• The Mx. salutation is now available by default. As the admin, you’ll need to update the
picklist to make this new value visible to users.
• Be sure to review any privacy implications before collecting gender-related data.
3) Reports & Dashboards Enhancements
❑ Enhance your Lightning dashboards with images and rich text
▪ Only applies to Lightning Experience using Unlimited Edition.
▪ Add section titles, narrative text, and images, and even include animated GIFs!
▪ Called Widgets, instead of Components.
▪ Add up to 25 widgets to your dashboards—including a maximum of 20 charts and tables, two images,
and 25 rich text widgets.
❑ Reduce redundancy with more dashboard filters
▪ Only applies to Lightning Experience using Unlimited Edition.
❑ Use the CRM Analytics for Slack app to share your Lightning dashboards
▪ Requires CRM Analytics license.
▪ Users must have the Connect Salesforce with Slack permission in Salesforce
▪ Required to connect their CRM Analytics for Slack app in their Slack workspace to their Salesforce
account.
▪ Displays in Slack with a link to actually view the Dashboard.
4) Permissions Enhancements
❑ Set Field-Level Security for a Field on Permission Sets Instead of Profiles (GA)
❑ Give your delegated admins the ability to manage permission set group assignments
▪ Your delegated admin won’t be able to modify the permission set groups.
❑ View even more information in the User Access and Permissions Assistant reports
▪ To use this feature, download the app from AppExchange: User Access and Permissions Assistant
(Note: there are required setup steps prior to installing that are well documented in the help page linked on the AppExchange page)
▪ Now contains key details including users’ titles, profiles, and whether they’re active.
▪ The performance of these reports has also been improved for orgs with a high number of users.
❑ Automate and Migrate User Access With User Access Policies (BETA)
▪ Specify a group of users to grant or revoke access to permission set licenses, permission sets, and
permission set groups, package licenses, queues, and groups.
▪ You can now automate your user’s assignments based on criteria that you set.
5) Related List Enhancements
❑ Mass create and update records using quick actions on related lists (BETA)
▪ Ensure related list type is set to Enhanced
▪ Only Create a Record and Update a Record quick actions are supported
▪ Either add directly to page layout or on related list on record page
▪ Select up to 100 records to update
▪ Can be used in Experience Builder sites
❑ Get Better Performance for Related Lists
▪ The related list View All page now renders using LWC instead of Aura
6) Email Enhancements
❑ Transition to the Lightning Editor for Email Composers (BETA)
▪ We’re switching to a feature-rich HTML text editor that allows a more robust
feature functionality similar to most email composing apps.
▪ Salesforce enforces this update in Summer ’24.
❑ Save Time by Linking Contacts to Cases in Email-to-Case
▪ Using Flow, it lets agents link contacts to cases created in Email-to-Case.
7) Einstein Search Enhancements
❑ Configure Searchable Objects for Each User Profile (BETA)
▪ Using Search Manager, determine and configure fields to make them searchable by user profile.
❑ Quickly Configure Searchable Picklists (BETA)
▪ You can now select a picklist field to be searchable in Search Manager.
8) Calendar Enhancements
❑ Maximize user productivity with calendar enhancements
▪ See up to 500 events in the Calendar view.
▪ Enable events for up to 50 shared calendars and resources.
▪ Drag events to reschedule in 15-minute increments.
▪ Click an event to preview. Click again to open the event record page. Previously, you hovered to preview.
▪ To navigate to the day view, click a date in the month or week view.
▪ The browser’s Back and Forward buttons move within the Calendar.
▪ Calendar views show overlapping event tiles, expanded text, and shaded coloring for dates in the past.

Lightning Knowledge Migration
❑ Run the Lightning Knowledge Migration Tool
▪ Salesforce enforces this update on June 1, 2025.
▪ Because Lightning Knowledge uses record types instead of article types, you can no longer filter by article
type.
▪ You can’t set a default record type in Salesforce Classic.
▪ Some actions, such as Change Record Type, aren’t available from the knowledge article record page in
Salesforce Classic.
▪ Picklist values assigned to one record type in Knowledge aren’t visible on records in Salesforce Classic.
▪ If you have custom solutions for your Classic Knowledge implementation, such as Visualforce components or
pages, refactoring them to work with the Lightning Knowledge data model is sometimes required. Especially if
your custom solution relies on article types, refactor it to work with record types.
Email Notification Enhancements
❑ Use an Org-Wide Email Address to Send Automated Process Emails
❑ Use a Default No-Reply Address as System Address for Case Email Notifications
▪ If not enabled, the notifications lack important information and aren’t customizable, and eventually stop
sending.
Flow Builder Enhancements
❑ New Process Builder Creation Is No Longer Available
▪ You can still activate, deactivate, and edit your existing Process Builder processes.
❑ Convert more processes to flows with the Migrate to Flow tool
▪ you can now use it to migrate Process Builder processes that contain scheduled actions.
▪ It will only migrate the scheduled action if one row of criteria is selected.
❑ Locate your Flow permission quicker
▪ Now under a new section in App Permissions.
▪ Previously, they were dispersed throughout System Permissions.

  • 21. 1) Lightning App Builder Enhancements ❑ Experience Dynamic Forms on mobile devices (BETA) ▪ Supported on accounts, cases, contacts, leads, opportunities, and custom objects. ▪ Remove the Record Detail - Mobile component from the page. ❑ Align fields horizontally in field sections ▪ Available on Dynamic Forms Field Section components ❑ Use Accordion and Tabs components on your app pages ▪ Previously was only available on Record pages
  • 22. 2) Field Enhancements ❑ Limit inactive picklist values to 4,000 ▪ Enforced in Summer ‘23 ▪ Any unrestricted custom picklists that were previously created that have more than 4,000 inactive values remain unchanged. ❑ Manage Salutation picklist values in Object Manager ▪ Say Hello to Salutation Picklist Values in Lightning Experience • Previously you had to switch to Classic to make these updates. ▪ Reflect the Diversity of Your Customers with Gender-Neutral Salutations • The Mx. salutation is now available by default. As the admin, you’ll need to update the picklist to make this new value visible to users. • Be sure to review any privacy implications before collecting gender-related data.
  • 23. 3) Reports & Dashboards Enhancements ❑ Enhance your Lightning dashboards with images and rich text ▪ Only applies to Lightning Experience using Unlimited Edition. ▪ Add section titles, narrative text, and images, and even include animated GIFs! ▪ Called Widgets, instead of Components. ▪ Add up to 25 widgets to your dashboards—including a maximum of 20 charts and tables, two images, and 25 rich text widgets. ❑ Reduce redundancy with more dashboard filters ▪ Only applies to Lightning Experience using Unlimited Edition. ❑ Use the CRM Analytics for Slack app to share your Lightning dashboards ▪ Requires CRM Analytics license. ▪ Users must have the Connect Salesforce with Slack permission in Salesforce ▪ Required to connect their CRM Analytics for Slack app in their Slack workspace to their Salesforce account. ▪ Displays in Slack with a link to actually view the Dashboard.
  • 24. 4) Permissions Enhancements ❑ Set Field-Level Security for a Field on Permission Sets Instead of Profiles (GA) ❑ Give your delegated admins the ability to manage permission set group assignments ▪ Your delegated admin won’t be able to modify the permission set groups. ❑ View even more information in the User Access and Permissions Assistant reports ▪ To use this feature, download the app from AppExchange: User Access and Permissions Assistant (Note: there are required setup steps prior to installing that are well documented in the help page linked on the AppExchange page) ▪ Now contains key details including users’ titles, profiles, and whether they’re active. ▪ The performance of these reports has also been improved for orgs with a high number of users. ❑ Automate and Migrate User Access With User Access Policies (BETA) ▪ Specify a group of users to grant or revoke access to permission set licenses, permission sets, and permission set groups, package licenses, queues, and groups. ▪ You can now automate your user’s assignments based on criteria that you set.
  • 25. 5) Related List Enhancements ❑ Mass create and update records using quick actions on related lists (BETA) ▪ Ensure related list type is set to Enhanced ▪ Only Create a Record and Update a Record quick actions are supported ▪ Either add directly to page layout or on related list on record page ▪ Select up to 100 records to update ▪ Can be used in Experience Builder sites ❑ Get Better Performance for Related Lists ▪ The related list View All page now renders using LWC instead of Aura
  • 26. 6) Email Enhancements ❑ Transition to the Lightning Editor for Email Composers (BETA) ▪ We’re switching to a feature-rich HTML text editor that allows a more robust feature functionality similar to most email composing apps. ▪ Salesforce enforces this update in Summer ’24. ❑ Save Time by Linking Contacts to Cases in Email-to-Case ▪ Using Flow, it lets agents link contacts to cases created in Email-to-Case.
  • 27. 7) Einstein Search Enhancements ❑ Configure Searchable Objects for Each User Profile (BETA) ▪ Using Search Manager, determine and configure fields to make them searchable by user profile. ❑ Quickly Configure Searchable Picklists (BETA) ▪ You can now select a picklist field to be searchable in Search Manager.
  • 28. 8) Calendar Enhancements ❑ Maximize user productivity with calendar enhancements ▪ See up to 500 events in the Calendar view. ▪ Enable events for up to 50 shared calendars and resources. ▪ Drag events to reschedule in 15-minute increments. ▪ Click an event to preview. Click again to open the event record page. Previously, you hovered to preview. ▪ To navigate to the day view, click a date in the month or week view. ▪ The browser’s Back and Forward buttons move within the Calendar. ▪ Calendar views show overlapping event tiles, expanded text, and shaded coloring for dates in the past. ❑ Access your calendar with one click ▪ Easily pop open your calendar in a new tab as you schedule events from a record

Faster Re-calculation for Account Sharing ❑ Re-calculate Account Sharing Rules Faster with Change in Opportunity Sharing Behavior ▪ Available for opportunities after May 22, 2023. ▪ To enable this feature for opportunities, contact Salesforce Customer Support using a feature activation case. ▪ Also enable this feature for child cases and contacts through the Enable Faster Account Sharing Recalculation by Not Storing Case and Contact Implicit Child Shares release update.

Lightning Knowledge Migration ❑ Run the Lightning Knowledge Migration Tool ▪ Salesforce enforces this update on June 1, 2025. ▪ Because Lightning Knowledge uses record types instead of article types, you can no longer filter by article type. ▪ You can’t set a default record type in Salesforce Classic. ▪ Some actions, such as Change Record Type, aren’t available from the knowledge article record page in Salesforce Classic. ▪ Picklist values assigned to one record type in Knowledge aren’t visible on records in Salesforce Classic. ▪ If you have custom solutions for your Classic Knowledge implementation, such as Visualforce components or pages, refactoring them to work with the Lightning Knowledge data model is sometimes required. Especially if your custom solution relies on article types, refactor it to work with record types.
