affected due to non / slow payment by certain clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Full bookkeeping function to comply with auditors requirements
o Books to balance sheet for three Companies that fall within the group
o Processing and control of statutory returns for all Companies
o Various administrative duties including the control of provident fund, sick fund, unions requirements,
and medical aid for 60 factory personnel and 30 administration personnel
o Processing of all personnel queries
o Salaries and wages for all three Companies using the Pastel Payroll

o Full bookkeeping function for various small Companies who did not need to employ a full time
Bookkeeper.
o The position entailed a full accounting function on Pastel with creditors and debtors,
invoicing, credit notes, journal entries, month and year end processing
o Statements and all the relevant reports applicable
o Statutory requirement and returns – VAT, PAYE, UIF etc.
o General typing and correspondence, e-mailing
o An electronic banking system was used
o Running of the office, answering of phones etc.
o We used Pastel Accounting package.

POSITION: ACCOUNTING/ADMINSTRATION/SALES
EMPLOYMENT DATES: OCTOBER 1996 – MAY 1998
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o This position entailed a full accounting function of AccPac with creditors, debtors etc.
o Conducted physical stock count once a month which had to balance back to AccPac
o All incoming stock invoices were processed
o Assisted with the generation of urgent quotations and received and processed incoming sales orders
o Placed indents for stock where levels were low with the UK and USA, as well as with local suppliers
o Responsible for petty cash float of R10 000-00 per week.
