Target Achievement
National Digitization Project was initiated by National Science Library & Resource Center of National
Science Foundation in year 2011 with objective of digitizing 3 million local S&T literature available in 25
research & academic libraries in the country to facilitate easy & quick online access to the full text
through a national network of Institutional Repositories developed under the project. Currently 61,062
articles are available to search online and another 22,497 articles are in processing to upload to
institutional repositories as at 31.12.2018

The STMIS database contains information on a) Scientists​ b) S&T related institutions d) locations and availability of advanced scientific equipment. e) Information on services and training programmes offered by​ the S&T institutions​. f) Research publications and information on the ongoing research activities in the country.

Currently 61,062 articles are available to search online and another 22,497 articles are in processing to upload to institutional repositories as at 31.12.2018
