external team;he reviewed,commentedthe draftreport, andfinalized somesections

achieved, appropriateindicatorsandmeasures,baselinesandtargets,how tocollect
data, etc.).
● Partners'knowledge wasstrengthenedinaspecificimportantelementof the
ResultsFramework,whichisthe indicatorcharacteristicsandothers(definition,rationale,
and measurement,disaggregationintogenderandintoothers).The differencebetween
some indicatorssuchas NRMand agronomicindicatorswhichhasbeenanissue forlong
was clarified.Thisclarificationhelpedimprovethe activitiesplanningandthe results
reporting.
● Projectsmonitoringinthe field,forcompliance withthe PMPs,wascarriedout;
Data QualityAssessment(DQA) conductedtoensure thatthe performance isproperly
assessedandreported.Suggestionsandrecommendationsreinforcedthe improvement
of projectperformance andresultsreporting,becauseactivitieswere alsomore focused.
● The successof a projectdependsmuchonthe way the ResultsFrameworkis
elaborated.

on fieldtrialssetupinfarmers'field,datacollectionmethodsinordertoobtainreliable
results;otherswentonappropriate activitiesplanning,indicatorsimprovementand
targetssetting,inorderto achieve the targetedobjectives.
● Because of implementationof suggestions,the projectsstaff hadthe reporting
easier,andtherefore appreciatedbyUSAID.EventhoughUSAID/Mali wenttoa severe
budgetcut at that time,mostof these projectsevenhad anextensionapproval.
● Today the appropriate technologiesdevelopedunderEWWare adopted(pedal
treadle pumpsforwater,economiccharcoal stoves,new varietiesof onion).FromINSAH,
NRMpracticesadoptedbyfarmershave beencapitalizedforuse overAfricaSahel region.
From the AgronomicResearchInstitute,sorghum, cowpeavarieties,andNRMpractices
have beenmade available tofarmers.
